Whitney Port's Hair: Copycat Hair for Fair Skin

Lehticia Leo
You know those blonde bombshells with killer blonde ambition that seem to turn capture everyone's attention when they walk into the room? Well, Whitney Port is quite possibly the epitome of this example. Whitney Port has long, blonde and flowing locks that look like they have been naturally highlighted by the rays of the sun. If you haven't been gifted with her exact hair color but want to get it, here's exactly how to do it.

Hair Color and Highlight

If you have a light skin tone, and have naturally light hair such a red, light brown or any shade of blonde. You will be able to dye your hair at home without using any bleach, since your hair will be able to adhere to the colorant much better than dark hair would. The shade that I most recommend for seamlessly achieving Whitney Port's hair hue is "205 Bleach Blonde" from the L'Oreal hair color collection "Super Blonde". This shade of super blonde is the exact match to Whitney's hair color, and you should feel honored that you have the skin tone to pull it off because not everyone can wear this powerful color and make it look natural.

Once you have dyed your hair in "205 Bleach Blonde", you will want to add highlights. Its best not to do it the same day as the overall hair color because over treating your hair is likely to cause irreversible damage. The color that I recommend and have always found to be an exact match to Whitney Port's hair color is "C100 Star Lights" from the L'Oreal hair highlighting collection "Multi-Faceted Highlights". Once again, as with the hair color, this highlight color is an exact match to Whitney Port's hair. Be grateful that you have the chops to pull it off.

Haircut

Now that we have gotten the hair color down, its time to discuss the actual hair cut and style. Since Whitney Port saw her television debut on the television series "The Hills" a few years back, she has donned the same cut and style throughout the years. Her hair cut is long, flowing, face framing layers. I know we are all about saving money, but there is no way of getting this haircut (or any haircut for that matter) just right at home. When you go to your stylist make it a point to bring along at least two pictures that capture Whitney Port's exact hair style. Most hairstylist will know exactly what you want when taking a look at the pictures, but just to be on the safe side, give a verbal description as well. Ask for long graduated face framing layers. The description is simple enough but better safe than sorry.
