God is the one who made me out of clay.

But you are the one who shaped me into who I am today.

Without you in my life, I would never be

Half the things that now define me.

Because of you, I'm no longer looking for a free ride.

I now know the importance of work because, for you, I need to provide.

You gave me my sense of humor and my sense of purpose.

You got my life pointing in the right direction, just like a compass.

You made me sincere and, because of you, I'm now a lover.

Most importantly, you made me a father.

Yes, when it comes to who I am, God definitely had a hand.

But I give you full credit for making me into a man.
