Who Am I?

Every day I wake up. Every day I go and take a shower. I put my contacts in. I would rather where contacts than glasses because I always get made fun of when I wear glasses. I am called names like 4 eyes and constantly called a geek. After I put my contacts in, I style my hair. I don't style my hair how I want it to be styled. I style my hair how the world wants me to style it. How can I more appreciated, or even accepted by the World? What does the World want me to look like? After I have styled my hair, I look into the mirror. I look into the mirror for 20 minutes. I just stare at the mirror. Do I have any scars on my face? Did I get a pimple or a zit overnight? Now I get dressed for my day. I don't wear what would be comfortable. I don't wear my favorite clothes. I don't wear what I want to wear. I wear what the World wants me to wear. What will I look most attractive in? How does the World want to see me? Now I head out the door. I go to school. I go to work. When I get home again, I look in the mirror. When I look in the mirror, I don't know who is looking back at me? Who is this person that I see in the mirror? Who am I?

Good question. Even though we may not realize it, many of us do the same thing everyday. Right now my feet are killing me from these heels that I am wearing today. Are they comfortable? No but they are so cute. At least, that's what the World says. Good job. Tomorrow, I shall wear flats!!!
