Who Am I Teaching by My Examples?

I Am Still Learning by Example!

Bubba
Who am I teaching with my examples today? I recognize today that many if not all of my activities were taught to me by example. Early in my life my Mom changed my diapers and taught me the value of cleanliness (How to wipe my butt) I learned to shave & brush my teeth by watching my Dad shave and brush his teeth. Even after I began to learn from books it was simpler to watch the examples around me.

Y'all know all cookbooks will give you recipes but until you experience assembling the recipe it only sounds good. If I am blessed with someone to give me the example of how they assemble a recipe it is even easier. Perhaps this is why the cooking shows are so popular, they teach by example.

Today I am a few years older and yet I am learning by example everyday. I saw a TV commercial about doing the right thing...(I think it was an insurance company.) How can I continue to learn if I don't have examples to follow? I know I feel better when I encounter someone that is smiling. I try to smile more even in difficult situations. I miss folks that whistle while they work. I've tried it with some unique results. I joke about humming. That's when I can't remember the words to a song. I know the Queen Goddess will hum when she is busy working around the house...on a good day she'll burst into song too... she always knows the words.

When a friend comes to visit I make a pot of Colombian Coffee and if there is time I'll bake cookies or something sweet. I learned this by example too. When I see someone that has a lifestyle I desire I watch the examples they live. I must remember none of my living examples have nail holes in their hands. There are always a few warts to over look....one ancient Elder-stateswoman told me "Take what you want and leave the rest, you will be a better person for it"

We have examples of greatness right here @ Associated Content. Y'all know the writers that share their lives in prose and poetry daily. It doesn't take long to relate to the examples of positive images they are offering in a negative world. Even when challenged with the difficult (AC IT Glitches) they continue to produce great examples. These examples are of kindness, courage, and at times frustrations..

Who am I teaching by example today? I hope I'm teaching and learning by the examples I live...Mizpah ;-}}>

Very nice article on the importance of setting a good example for others. Actions really do speak louder than words.

This one made me think about who I'm teaching and what examples I'm modeling.

"Take what you want and leave the rest, you will be a better person for it" That's really all you can do, especially when using the Internet. It amazes me to see how people act online, but it helped me understand why our country (and the world) continue to experience problems I previously thought we were educated and civilized enough to overcome. Some examples serve as a warning of pitfalls to avoid and others inspire us to make the most of our lives. It's up to us to make the right choice.

What a wonderful way of telling a story you have. It pulls you in. There is so much talents hear. Everyone should take the time to look around and find it. Thanks!
