Who I Am Today

Lisa R. Strong
I am a child of God;
I am wonderfully made;
I am precious in His sight;
Toughened by hardships;
A little girl lost and found;
A woman of faith;
In spite of severe loss;
I use the gifts that were given;
To me by my loving Father;
Whom I love with all my heart;
Some judge and question that love;
Because of my choice of expression;
But darkness nearly killed me;
Nearly drowning in unbearable pain;
Yet my faith in Him has saved me;
So many times from myself;
This wondrous faith that I hold so dear;
I will not change;
To placate others;
Their hateful words;
Fall on deaf ears;
For I refuse to listen to them;
Their false authority;
I will not follow;
So stay away from me;
With your hypocrisy and intolerance;
When you bash my faith;
It is the same as bashing me,
I am who I am;
Because Almighty God made me;
This faith is a gift from Him;
And no one will ever take it from me;
It has guided me on this life's journey;
And will lead me to eternal happiness;
I will love and serve;
The way that He wills for me;
Until He calls me home.

    Lisa, It doesn't matter how you worship God, what matters is that you do worship God! Our Father wants to have an intimate relationship with each and every one of us and Where you are with your relationship with God is between you and him. Pray for those who try to interfere, As a very Loving Caring Man once said, " Father forgive them, for they know not what they do." God Bless you Sister ~Peace~
