Who is Auddrey Rivera, 440-839-2577?
This Ohio Based Phone Number Has Been Calling Hundreds of People
I inputted the number 440-839-2577 into WhitePages.com and the results were for a woman in Ohio. The name, Auddrey Rivera. For one, I do not know anyone in Ohio and I surely don't know any Rivera's. I thought, hmm, maybe this Auddrey Rivera is a solicitor or a bill collector. Either way, I just had this sneaking suspicion that something was not kosher here.
I performed a Google search from "Auddrey Rivera" and found a ton of results for her name. Guess I wasn't the only one being called by Auddrey Rivera, in fact, it appears that this caller uses the same phone number, 440-839-2577. Many online users have been getting this suspicious phone call from Ms. Audrey Rivera and making complaints all over the web.
If you want to read some of the hundreds of complaints about Auddrey Rivera check out 800Notes (Directory of Unknown Callers). This site also has a search bar that allows you to find out where other suspicious calls are coming from. You simply go to the site, enter the unknown phone number, and you will be directed to either all information about the caller or at least find others who are having the same caller issues.
From what I have gathered, some of the callers have experienced the same as I have. Frequent calls from Auddrey Rivera at 440-839-2577 and no voice mails or hang up as soon as they answer. Others have reported that this caller tells them that this is their "Final Notice" to update or extend their car warranty. The funny thing is, some of these people she has called do not have a car, their car is way past warranty, or they currently have warranty insurance on their car through another provider.
I can only imagine that someone sold my phone number to this lady, if she is a lady. For all I know this is a telemarketing agency using a spoofed number. Many of us are more likely to answer a phone call from someone that has a real name and does not appear to be an automated bot. But, this is what Auddrey Rivera appears to be.
Be careful where you enter your phone number online. I made a mistake several months ago placing my phone number on Craig's List, it was not long before I started getting telemarketer calls. I know this is where my phone number had been lifted from because the phone number was brand new!
Also, I am sure some of you reading this are not in the business of freelancing. I am. While researching the internet looking for writing jobs I have come across many job postings looking for freelancers to scour the internet looking for posted phone numbers. Never put your telephone number on MySpace, Face Book, Craigslist, or any other popular forum. Some people are getting paid to find that phone number and give it to telemarketers.
You also need to be careful when posting classified ads online or in the newspaper. The best rule of thumb when posting classified ads on line is to give your spam email address instead of your phone number If a legitimate buyer emails about the product you have for sale, you can email him your phone number to discuss thing further, or better yet, you get his phone number.
Most all of us have a spam email that we use when signing up for things on line that we know is going to send us a lot of spam. If you do not currently have a spam email, you can make one quick, easy, and for free through such places as Yahoo!, Hotmail, Gmail, and others. The service is free and you won't worry about your inbox getting spammed.
Auddrey Rivera from Ohio is not the only suspicious call I have received lately. I am sure most of the UNKNOWN phone calls I have been getting are a direct result from me placing my phone number on Craigslist. Never again will I be so forthcoming with my phone number. Because these telemarketers call during the day, they often use up my airtime minutes. I am usually too hesitant not to answer my phone. I always fear that it is a family member or friend in trouble. I would hate to be the one not to answer that important call.
Anytime you get calls from an unsolicited caller you should report them. Once many complaints are made by fed up people, the person who is making the calls will get fined or blocked. If your cell phone has a function to block or restrict calls from certain callers, be sure to block any known solicitors that have been calling you. You may as well block Auddrey Rivera, 440-839-2577 now before "she" starts calling you too!
