Mr. Marceaux quickly surfaced as an Internet sensation. A video posted on YouTube titled, "Tennessee's Next Governor," allowed the world to see just what Basil Marceaux would set out to do as governor of Tennessee.
It seems many voters feel Basil Marceaux's attempt at the governor seat is farcical at best, due to his lack of public speaking skills and inability to form a complete sentence. Yet, Mr. Marceaux is fully intent on his goal to be the next governor of The Volunteer State. Mr. Marceaux is now taking advantage of the social media world and is currently posting tweets asking people for their support for the Republican candidate.
So, who is Basil Marceaux? Mr. Marceaux is seemingly an average Southern gentleman who wants to do right by the state of Tennessee. According to his website, Mr. Marceaux is an "honest person," and a "good listener." Will this be enough to elect him as governor of Tennessee? That will be left for the voters to decide on November 2, 2010.
