Eric "The Butterbean" Esch is a pure fighting machine with only a desire to win. Although he has no formal training in boxing or martial arts, he has fighting professionally for over 10 years. He has stated that he will fight anyone, anywhere at anytime. When he enters the ring he charges his opponents and throws as many hay-makers as possible. From small town Tough-man Contest to Cesar's Palace in Las Vegas Butterbean has destroyed over 100 opponents. Butterbean is originally from Bay City, Michigan and stands 5´11 and weights 385 pounds. He is a professional boxer and mixed martial arts fighter, known for his bald hard and excessive weight. He is one bad dude and he as had made millions of dollars in prize money and sponsorships.

Butterbean started his professional fighting career in the nation wide Tough-man Contest during the early 90´s. He won the World Tough Man Heavyweight Championship and collected the $50,000 prize money five times. During this time he racked 56 wins including 36 by way of knockout and only lost 6 matches. Although these fights would not count toward his professional career, Butterbean had made a name from himself among fighting fans and caught the attention of several promotional company's. Despite the fact that Butterbean had never had any formal boxing training, in 1994 at a 28 he turned pro. Butterbean soon became known as " The King of 4 Rounders". Because Butterbean weighs almost 400 pounds and had no formal boxing training serious heavyweight contenders would not fight him. Many boxers were afraid of him because of his wild punch throwing tactics. However after Butterbean knocked out 8 of his first 10 opponents Cesar's Palace in Las Vegas signed him to a one fight contract. The event was Butterbeans first nationally televised event and Cesar's palace sold plenty of tickets. Butterbean went on to win in fine fashion and began to capture the attention of more fight fans.

Over the next six years Butterbean continued to knockout a long list of nobody's. He had won 64 of his 66 fights and finally former heavyweight champ Larry Holmes challenged Butterbean to a fight. Butterbean eventually lost the fight the score cards, however he did fight toe to toe with the former champion for 10 rounds. Butterbean also floored the Holmes in the tenth round to join Mike Tyson as the only two people to every send Holmes to the canvas. After the Holmes fight, all of the younger fighters were afraid of Butterbean, because he had proved he could go the distance with a true champion. Even though Butterbean knocked out his next seven opponents he would not get another chance in the United States. He challenged former heavy-champ Mike Tyson to a fight in 2005 but Tyson refused. Butterbean later called Tyson a scared sissy. Butterbean then took his show on the road. He won fights and collected big pay checks in England, Mexico, China, and Australia. While in the far east Butterbean was given free tickets to a full contact Japanese Multi Martial Arts Fighting Contest. From his front row seat Butterbean was not impressed and decided that he could win the contest. Everyone advised him not to enter, however, the next year Butterbean bored with boxing entered the tournament. Although he did not win the contest he did win seven fights by choking his opponents.

His professional record stands at 56 wins with only 5 defeats from The Tough-man Contest and Ultimate Fighting Challenges. During his professional boxing career he has won 76 of 89 fights including 57 victories by way of knock out. Butterbean has also recorded 7 wins in the full contact martial arts tournaments in Asia. He currently owns a steakhouse in Jasper, Alabama. Despite being mean in the ring, guest at his restaurants and fans say that he is one of the nicest people they have ever met. He has even appeared in a few movies including Jackass, and Chairman of the Board.
