Who is Denis Beaudoin? Is He the Father of the Octuplets?

Sarah F. Sullivan
In a very interesting and occasionally emotional interview with "Good Morning America," a man named Denis Beaudoin has come out to say that he could possibly be the biological father of Nadya Suleman's children. Though he doesn't know for sure, Beaudoin was at least able to shed some light on the woman America has christened "Octomom."

Beaudoin told "Good Morning America" that he had a relationship with Suleman that lasted three years from 1997-1999 when he was in his early twenties. Beaudoin remembers Suleman as a fun person with an infectious personality and a great laugh. But in his opinion, "Octomom" and the Nadya Suleman he dated are two completely different people.

He told "Good Morning America,"

"She looks different, sounds different. You know, it's just not the Nadya I remember."

Further, Nadya's overwhelming desire to have children was nonexistent when they were together. Beaudoin stated that she wanted to have a child because she said she wasn't able to, but it wasn't the out-of-control fantasy that's played out recently.

According to Beaudoin, Suleman approached him and asked him to donate sperm. She said that she had ovarian cancer and needed to act quickly if she wanted to have a child. Beaudoin donated his sperm three times and didn't ask questions, because he was in love.

Beaudoin has come out with his story for many reasons. Because he knew that his name would emerge sooner or later as a potential father, he decided to speak out first. Also, he just wants to know whether or not he's the father.

He was shocked when he found out about Suleman's octuplets and with the changed person he saw in the media. Because of those three sperm donations, Beaudoin believes that a paternity test should be done just in case. Though Suleman told US Magazine that he isn't the father of her children, Beaudoin is taking her word with a grain of salt.

"It just seems like a lot of her statements that she's made have been really inaccurate," he said.

Beaudoin is the odd man out in this case, seeing that he is the only person who seems to be acting out of concern for Suleman's children. If he did turn out to be the father, that would be even more ironic. Despite the fact that he has a wife and two children of his own, he stepped up to the plate because he knew it would be hard for Suleman to raise the children alone.

Already, Beaudoin has proved himself more worthy of those children than Suleman ever has since her story hit the media. He has even stated that if he's not the father, he would still be willing to help Suleman out. It's rare when a man actually seeks out a woman to see if he's the father of her child so he can take responsibility, especially when there's 14 children involved.

Seems like Suleman let the wrong man fall by the wayside.

More twists and turns to this woman's story than a mountain path! I've written several articles about them too and can't imagine what's next! Good report!

Wouldn't it be interesting if DNA tests identify the sperm donor and the father ends up gaining custody of the children because Nadya isn't a fit mother? Has a sperm donor ever gained custody of the child?

Oh please. He wanted to get on GMA and show what a great guy he is when he most likely is NOT the father. Don't you realize it was Kamrava who successfully got her pregnant? She went to another doctor in Whittier before that. http://www.eons.com/groups/topic/1487169-Silent-Fertility-Clinics
She was married at the time she supposedly was dating him and he tries to say he "thinks" she might have been married? The dates he gives 15e 97-99. She admits he donated. Can you give me one good reason he went public with this with all the juicy "she kept it warm between her breasts" info instead of getting an attorney to do this behind the scenes if he is so darn concerned for the children? I can, he wants the tabloids to fork over money for his "story". Also, he sure isn't like any man I know saving Valentines and "sperm donation" request notes from a girlfriend for ten years AFTER he's married. This guy is one heck of an opportunist.
