The Indianapolis Colts and the New York Jets will be facing each other in the AFC Championship game. The winner will go on to the Super Bowl. The loser will go home.

Who is Going to the Super Bowl? Will the New York Jets Win?

New York Jets beat the Indianapolis Colts in the regular season on December 27th with a score of 29 to 15. However Indianapolis Colt's head coach Jim Caldwell played much of the game with his starters, including Peyton Manning, on the bench. The Indianapolis Colts did not need to win the game; they already had a first round playoff bye.

This AFC Championship game will be very different with the Peyton Manning and Indianapolis Colts starters in the game.

What do the New York Jets have to do to win the AFC Championship game? It is obvious that one of the things the New York Jets need to do is to stop Peyton Manning. The Jets defensive pass rushers cannot let Peyton Manning get comfortable in the pocket and get into a rhythm. This will be a difficult task for the New York Jets, since Manning is a master at getting his feet set and throwing the ball. Will the New York Jets defense, ranked at number one during the regular season, stop Peyton Manning from making the big plays?

What else do the New York Jets have to do to win the AFC Championship game? The New York Jets have to be successful running the ball in this AFC Championship game. Led by running back, Shonn Greene, the Jets were ranked as the number one rushing team during the regular season. Rookie quarterback Mark Sanchez will pass infrequently; the majority of plays will be running plays. Should the New York Jets try to pass more to throw off the defense of the colts? Probably not with a 23 year old rookie quarterback who has not passed much during the regular season, and is still unproven. The running game is what brought the New York Jets to this AFC Championship and they need to stick with what has worked for them.

Who is Going to the Super Bowl? Will the Indianapolis Colts Win?

What do the Indianapolis Colts have to do to win the AFC Championship game? Peyton Manning has to get into a rhythm early in the game. The offensive line needs to give Peyton Manning time to find his receivers downfield, just like they had been doing during the regular season. Although the Indianapolis Colts also need to mix it up and run the ball every once in a while, Peyton Manning will be looking for the opportunity to make the big play downfield.

What else do the Indianapolis Colts have to do to win the AFC Championship game? The defense needs to forget about rushing the passer and concentrate on stopping the New York Jets running game. The Indianapolis Colts are not expecting the New York Jets to pass often during the game. But they should be watching for New York Jets coach Rex Ryan to possibly call a big pass play to throw them off when they least expect it.

Who is Going to the Super Bowl? What are the Predictions?

The Indianapolis Colts are favored to beat the New York Jets by 7 1/2 points by the oddsmakers.

The Indianapolis Colts are generally considered to be the better team and will most likely win this AFC Championship game.

However, as that old NFL saying goes: "On any given Sunday, any team can win".
