Celebrity Apprentice 2011: Who got fired April 24?
Tonight, it was LaToya Jackson who got fired from Celebrity Apprentice 2011, right after the ladies lost this week's challenge. The project manager, Star Jones, was told by Donald Trump to choose two teamates to bring back to the boardroom with her for elimination after her team lost, and Star chose Nene Leakes and LaToya Jackson to join her.
Both teams performed pretty poorly in the challenge this week, which involved promoting the Trump collection of hotels by using unique marketing styles and avoiding cliched material. It was decided the women put on the worst presentation, with Star Jones and the nonsensical diarreah of the mouth she scripted for her cohorts sealing her team's dismal fate.
Trump's consultants did say their choice was simply the greater of two evils, though, because the men also botched it big-time: they neglected to put a phone number or website information on their printed marketing material. The ad itself looked more like a short article than a well-constructed ad capable of luring guests to the properties.
At the end of it all, it was LaToya Jackson who was fired from Celebrity Apprentice 2011 tonight (April 24), and she was none too happy about it. She called Star Jones "very evil", and told viewers that "Mr. Trump made a mistake [tonight]" during her limo ride slash exit interview.
For their part, the men (headed by country singer John Rich) won $20,000 for charity. In this case, St. Jude;s Medical Research benefited from the final three guys and their efforts. Lil Jon, Meatloaf and Adkins are all safe for one more week.
