Who Got Voted Off American Idol: American Idol Results from Week Three

The newest American Idol results were revealed Thursday, as viewers found out who got voted off this week. The third week of American Idol results were looking to be surprising before the day even started, as a number of evenly evaluated artists were left with both the guys and girls side of the competition. The third week again showed that Michael Lynche could be a stand-out from this season, but this American Idol results show was the most important one of the season. The 12 contestants that made it through the third results show of the season would be into the finals, and with it the best part of being a contestant on American Idol. Nobody wanted to be sent home on this American Idol results show.

Before this American Idol results show, eight contestants were already sent home in the first two weeks, cutting the field from 24 down to 16 with those first eliminations. During the week one results show, Janell Wheeler, Ashley Rodriguez, Joe Munoz, and Tyler Grady were all sent home. Last week during the second results show, the people who were sent home were John Park, Jermaine Sellers, Michelle Delamor, and Haeley Vaughn. The elimination of Haeley Vaughn came as a pretty big surprise, as a number of experts in the industry had predicted that she might actually win the show this season. This all led up to the third week American Idol results show on March 11th.

The first contestant sent home during the third American Idol Results Show was a bit shocking, as Katelyn Epperly that was the first to be eliminated. Host Ryan Seacrest went to the guys after that, letting Todrick Hall know he was the next person going home. Alex Lambert was the next to go home, before Seacrest went to tell the girls the final elimination of the night. The final elimination of the night was Lilly Scott, leaving just 12 American Idol contestants to compete for the title of 2010 American Idol winner.
