Who is Jared Lee Loughner?

From Concrete to Abstract

Lori Lane
Let's cut to the chase. Six dead, others injured with one Congresswoman in recovery due to a bullet wound to the head. One shooter, one story, lack of motive. Sounds of conspiracy whether politically charged, government involvement, brainwashing and so forth. This would make a great Lifetime movie, but it's reality.

Outside of the headlines what else can be considered, in a rational sense?

Jared Lee Loughner dressed in a hoodie, wore ear buds, was incoherent at school, didn't like it when the garbage men forget their garbage, evidently didn't like the neighborhood kids and had a loud voice as if he was screaming at times. Loughner is 22-years-old. Loughner killed six people. These accounts, as reported by Newsweek, paints a portrait you may have seen once before.

Can you guess?

"Lone gunman, anti-social, had a temper, dressed down, didn't get along with those in the same home, had school issues. Authorities found a weapon on the sixth floor on the 22nd of that month. Give up?

Answers can assist.

It is only fair to weigh the situation surrounding the Tuscan tragedy without using a concrete path. Let's abstract.

Gothic lovers, rappers, even kids enjoy wearing hoodies and listening to music on their ear buds. To suggest that this form of lifestyle will lead a person to dark places or evil acts is outlandish.

Was Loughner hard of hearing?

Claims were made of Loughner yelling and not getting along with others at times. His father's account gives a version of Loughner's character as the son who changed his behavior weeks before the shooting. Even Loughner's school considered him to be somewhat incoherent.

My brother is deaf in one ear and most times when he talks he has no idea that he's yelling. He can't hear himself or others speaking to him that well. He grows frustrated at times, especially lately. His hearing is getting worse. I lost my hearing for two weeks a couple years ago. People began thinking something was wrong with me. They just didn't know about it. It is possible that Loughner had a hearing issue and that could answer why he didn't say hello back or appeared incoherent at times while in school?

And about the garbage men forgetting his trash. We have four cans outside full every Thursday. We have critters that would love to rummage through our trash if the garbage man stiffs our pick-up. I would be angry too. Wouldn't you? Not saying cut a murderer a break - but I make a good point.

There could be a number of reasons Loughner chose not to get close to the people in his neighborhood. It could be gossip, a lack of compatibility or mere appreciation for an independent lifestyle. Yes, that actually exists and there's nothing wrong with it.

When it comes to conspiracy theories it is easy to connect the dots by digits of character. Okay, Loughner was anti-government. At this point after researching MKULTRA (and all the other documented government ops that weren't destroyed), Lincoln's Greenback theory, the Warren Commission's slack investigation surrounding JFK's assassination, human testing on prisoners and others (which not only occurred across the boarder folks - do your research), connections to once government officials employed by big bankers, the list continues for miles.

And would you trust the boy who cried wolf once too many? The same boy that painted a picture of a simple wolf heading towards the village when in reality it was a pack of moles and rats.

So what if Loughner lost faith in the government due to past credibility damaged by declassified information and so forth. It's still a free country, right? Free speech.

Let's turn to Loughner's YouTube video.

The dates of entry last as far as one month back. Or as close as. His reportedly strange characteristics doesn't match his likes and what he enjoys. And according to the lingo - he enjoys guitars. His words on the video involve "new currency" including a dream sequence with a hello, a full name, and a thank you at the end.

If Loughner was going to create a video, in the character portrayed today, don't you think it would have had rougher edges? Loughner walked into it - he knew it - so why waste the time in silly greetings in written text without a radical photo of some form?

Yes, some questions will be answered in time. And no, I do not condone what happened in Tuscon.

Perhaps this Loughner business is going to my head and I should end this write-up. But it is good to understand the rational possibilities no matter who it is about.

Final Note: Say a prayer for the families and the victims involved within the Tuscon tragedy.

One typo doesn't dictate this article. It's a good opinion piece, I enjoyed it. By the way Lloyd, the author did not state that Tucson was a bad place. Good article!

Excuse me Mam it's T-U-C-S-O-N not TUSCAN nor TUSCON as you have spelled it here. By the way, it's a lovely city.
