If You Do Not Know, You Will Now

Joran Van Der Sloot was born in Arnhem, Netherlands on August 6, 1987. He currently resides in Aruba.

You might have recognized his name, or his face for that matter. The reason for that is in 2005 he was the main suspect in the murder investigation of Natalie Holloway, who went missing in Aruba on May 30, 2005. Van Der Sloot and his two brothers Deepak and Satish Kalpoe, were taken into custody on June 9, 2005. The two brothers were released while Van Der Sloot remained in custody. A few weeks later, Deepak and Satish we rearrested for suspicion of rape and murder. After only a few weeks, all three were released, due to the lack of evidence.

Two years later on November 21, 2007, Van Der Sloot was once again arrested for the suspicion of involvement in voluntary manslaughter and causing serious bodily harm that had resulted in the death of Natalee Holloway. According to the prosecuting office in Aruba, there had been "new incriminating evidence". Less then two weeks later, Van Der Sloot was released without being charged.

Natalie Holloway's body was never recovered, even after an intense search. Aruba authorities will be searching once again near the hotel Natalie was last seen at, as well as a dam at Monserat.

Now five years later to the day that Natalie Holloway disappeared, Van Der Sloot seems to be making news once again. May 30, 2010, Stephany Tatiana Flores Ramirez, 21, failed to return home after a night out gambling in the Atlantic City Casino in Lima, Peru. On June 1st, at the Hotel Tac located in Lima, Stephany's beaten and lifeless body was found by a hotel employee. The room in which young Stephany's body was found, had been registered to Jordan Van Der Sloot. According to an unknown source, Van Der Sloot allegedly informed the hotel he was leaving and to not disturb his girlfriend. An arrest warrant was issued immediately for Joran Van Der Sloot.

May 31st, Van Der Sloot was seen entering Chile. He was apprehended on June 3rd in the city of Vina Del Mar. Found with Van Der Sloot was his laptop, currency, and alleged bloody clothes that are being tested for DNA. Chilean police have stated that Van Der Sloot denied the allegations that he had any involvement in the murder of Ramirez.

Just four days later, the Peruvian government has announced that Joran Van Der Sloot has confessed to the murder of Stephany Tatiana Flores Ramirez. It is alleged that Van Der Sloot is using his confession for a lesser charge of manslaughter which only carries a 6 to 20 year sentence. Otherwise, if charged and convicted of murder, Van Der Sloot can be sentenced up to 35 years.

I can't believe that they would have ever released him either. I hope he rots in prison forever as well as his brothers.

I think it's ridiculous how he kept getting released. He even took back his confession of killing Ramirez, saying he was misinformed or something along those lines. I think he's guilty of both crimes and he needs to be put away for good.

He should die. That will cure him, permanently.

I don't think he's going to be able to get out of this one as easily.
