Who Killed Gareth Williams, Who Worked with MI-6 in London?

Julia Bodeeb
Gareth Williams worked as a mathematical code breaker for the Government Communication Headquarters, which is an eavesdropping government agency. This past year he was on a temporary assignment with MI-6, England's foreign intelligence service.

Body Found in a Locked Bag

He was found dead at 36 Aldermen Street, Pamlico, and SW1 (London, England). He was found nude, in a locked North Face sport bag which was left in a bathroom in the apartment, reports the Metropolitan Police.

Mr. Williams was a cycling and fitness buff. He had a solid and strong physique. Thus it is curious that he would have been overpowered in some way without any signs of a struggle in his apartment. Who could have overpowered this burly man and locked his body in a sport bag?

There were no signs of forced entry to his apartment. Gareth was believed to have been dead for two weeks before his body was found. The circumstances of his death are very mysterious.

Cause of Death Still Unknown

Officials have very little information to try to solve this murder. The cause of death has not yet been determined, although an autopsy was done. No traces of drugs or alcohol were found in Mr. Williams' body.

The home where Gareth William lived may have been a "safe house" used by the MI-6 for employees, notes the Daily Mail. The life of the code breaker for England did not end well. Whoever killed him is still free and investigators are struggling to piece together how someone got into his apartment and to determine how Gareth was killed.

Notify the Police with any Information

The police have requested information from the public about a couple who visited the building where Williams lived in recent months. They are described as ages 20 to 30 and with a Mediterranean look.

Mr. Williams was a private man. Officials do not have much information about his personal life. It is unknown if this murder could be linked to his personal of his professional life. There are many different theories about his death. Perhaps the IRA or terrorists were involved. Or perhaps the truth will never be known about the cause of his death.

Gareth had a dangerous job. He was surely aware of that reality at all times. And yet, even with the caution and privacy with which he lived his life he has met a shocking end.

RIP Gareth William. Your work helped keep the people of England safe. Best wishes to the Williams family and prayers that justice will be found for Gareth.

I read the A T and T Yahoo article on 3/30/12 in San Francisco, California about the United Kingdom codebreaker's death. In my opinion, the murderers of the U.K. agent were interested in porcelain bacterias and that is why his body was in the bathtub. To investigate the case, I would suggest looking at the museums that he visited which would have had famous statues in stone carved by famous artists. What terrorists want these porcelain and stone bacterias for is for greater intelligence, I think, and the codebreaker would have been thought to be more intelligent from these bacterias.
