Who Knew by Pink

R.A. Riter
Who Knew is the second single off of Pink's fourth album called I'm Not Dead. It was also re-released to the United States in 2007 after being originally released in 2006. Pink said in an interview that the inspiration behind this some came from the end of a relationships when a couple friend got trapped in drug use. This song uses an acoustic guitar, keyboard, drums, and electric guitars.

This music video was directed by Dragon (Sam Bayer, Robert Hales, and Brian Lazzaro). It was filmed on April 15, 2006 in Los Angeles. The music video was released in May 2006. It reached the top of Germany's top ten and TRL Italy. It also placed as high as seventh on the U.S. TRL. The video consists of a couple at the fair. When the young boy places a necklace around the girl, a flash back occurs, showing him using drugs. Then, you see the boy walk away, and when the girl tries to find him, he is using drugs again. The young girl hands back the necklace and calls an ambulance, walking away crying. Pink is seen singing at the fair's entrance in little snippets. In Pink's previous album, she compared life to a carnival, which may have led her to wanting a video set in this setting.

This song performed relatively well on the charts, although it fared best in the United States. It placed first on the U.S. Billboard Hot Adult Top 40 Tracks and the U.S. ARC Weekly Top 40. Who Knew also placed as high as ninth on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and forth on the U.S. Pop 100. This song also reached forth on the Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks and tenth on the U.S. Billboard Hot Dance Airplay.
