Who Can Love a Bald Girl

My Poem

Kady Birdwhistle
My hair keeps falling out
I'm not totally sad
But a little, yes, I guess

I talked to Tony's Mom
I love her so very much
She told me not to take

The clippers out just yet

I want to know, tell me true
Who can love a bald girl
With a shaven head

Her hair keeps falling out
Washing wearing down drains
Its a mystery why it goes

I talked to Tony's Mom
She said I had pretty eyes
She said to focus on my features

Not the negativity

I want to know, tell me true
Who can love a bald girl
With a shaven head

They society people call me
A stinking lesbian when
My tresses are no longer

That is not true

I do not hate lesbians
I do not judge their choices
They are part of humanity

Yet it is not right to judge
Others for their choices
Even if they love a different way

But tell me

Who
Can
Love
A
Bald
Girl

I totally have not shaved my head yet, but my hair loves to fall out. I am always honest with my online friends. I just wanted to put my worries out there. It's all a part of my honesty. I too am a jealous harpie and sometimes I'm a loser. But, I still love God. I just had to get this out. So, maybe this is a journal entry not a poem. Please be patient with me, I'm not liking my hair falling out.

Been there Kady after chemo and radiation, I not only lost my red hair it grew back in a different color (darker) that I hated. So I can sympathize with anyone suffering from thinning hair. Have you tried any of the new hair products? I found that I like wearing wigs. I had a different style and color for every mood. I even kept a couple after my hair grew back; just for fun.

Sweetie, I wore wigs for years when I worked as a musician. Have you forgotten there are wigs for not much money? Geez, Dolly Parton's hair (if she has any left) has NEVER been seen, and look how gorgeous she is! Who could love a bald girl? The same man who loved you with hair! And, don't forget: God loves you....cherishes you....rejoices over you with singing! Isn't that awesome?

Kady, I've had that problem for a year and a half, but because I had other symptoms too, I was tested for lupus ( because sometimes it goes along with Fibromyalgia, which I have,) and low thyroid function. Both were ok, so the doc. says it's probably stress..... too much stress can make your hair fall out big time! But you do need to have your thyroid checked before you rule it out, just to be safe. Log on to webmd and see what symptoms go with low thyroid funtion. Remember Beauty isn't how much hair you have, it's how much heart you have...... ~Peace~ Nancie

Oh my sweet friend. i am so sorry that this is happening. My prayer is that a year from now, you will not even remember the sadness you feel now because the joy of the reason it if happening is a distraction. May God bless you!!

You know bald is beautiful! Kady I know this must be frustrating for you but I'm sure you will find the answer. No matter, I can tell that you are the kind of girl that would look stunning no matter what! Hang in there! :)

Tony's Mom told me on the phone to get my thryoid checked. She said that could be a problem with my hair. And she might be right, 3 lilangels!!!! I'm just super sensitive today! I do apologize for it!

aww i am so sorry for this, and i can relate to this problem. i was just diagnosed with a thyroid problem 3 weeks ago and my hair has fallen out drastically and it is very upsetting especially since i am a hairdresser and right now can't do much to it. but even though our hair is fallen out we are still who we are no matter if we have hair or not. you are such a beautiful person!!!! trust me i know how you feel about the hair, i am going crazy right now with mine too. i just thank god for the head of hair that i had because i do still have a lot but it's thinning and some spots are really short, but hey make the best out of it that's whats in now for style anyway
