Who Needs Leads and How to Make the Most Out of Your Leads

Do Leads Really Work?

Ron Lester
We have all received various offers, on and offline. Ever wonder how you end up receiving information on some product or service you never purchased or inquired about? Most of the time you get offers from stores you visited, but why and how? When you make your purchase, the cashier will ask for your phone number or if you would like to receive future offers or newsletters. If you agree, you provide them with your name and phone number. In many cases, these businesses will share information with their partners. When this happens, their partners will share your information with other partners. By supplying your name and phone number, you have become a lead. Someone to contact, because you have shown interest in some particular product or service.

The same happens online. Now, you will receive hundreds and thousands of different offers until you request to be removed from their list. By law, you have to have the option to opt out. If you never opted into a list and are receiving information about some product or service, you are receiving spam. For serious entrepreneurs, spam has become a major obstacle in our path of success. Just like the Do Not Call list has done to telemarketing services. Now, you have to purchase a list of phone numbers that are scrubbed from the Do Not Call list, which is very expensive. Even if you want to purchase software that will dial up your potential clients, you are looking at spending between $100-$1000, which isn't very affordable when you are trying to start your business. These companies have you over a barrel, because they know the types of fines associated with violating the Do Not Call list.

You have probably seen numerous articles or emails telling you not to waste your money on leads, when you can create a list yourself. Yes, this is true, you can save a lot of money by buying into a program that will allow you to create your own list. What they do not tell you is that you are still going to have to pay for your advertising to get people to sign up on your list. Nor do they tell you building a list is a long and tedious process. In actuality, you could end up spending far more creating a list than you would purchasing your leads.

So who needs leads? Anyone that has any product or service to market needs leads. Without leads, you do not have potential clients to speak with. The truth is leads can be expensive. For example, an insurance salesman can end up spending $1,000's on leads, between $2 to $40(if not more) for each lead. Yes, these leads have certain information ready for each potential client. This is still really expensive.

There are leads available online that are reasonable. These are basic business leads, people looking to make or save money online. Anyone filling out a request online is a potential client to any sales person, who with any kind of dedication or imagination can turn these leads into a sale. You can purchase this type of lead for $49.95, that will provide you with 50,000 double opt in verified leads that are 0 to 7 days old every Monday. That's 200,000 leads per month. For anyone selling anything online, this type of product is an absolute gold mine. Who could benefit from this type of service?

If you want to deliver hits to your articles or recruit new members to Associated Content, for example, this would be an ideal service for you for obvious reasons. How many people have read your article? How much can you make from referrals that are also writing on Associated Content? Obviously, a lead list like this would be advantageous.

Maybe you are an Avon representative? How would 200,000 leads impact your business?

GDI, Ameriplan, insurance agents that are licensed in all states, mortgage brokers, Ebay sellers, literally anyone that has any goods or services to market online would benefit from leads like these.

So where can you find these type of leads?

How well do these leads work? Well, the average online marketer receives 2% close rates with these leads. So if you had 200,000 every month. You could expect about 4000 closes off this list monthly. For Associated Content members, that's 4000 reads per month. Out of your 4000 reads, you should expect to receive 80 new AC members every month from this list. So if that works for you, what happens if you share this information with your new members. That's how you can truly benefit from the power of leads. Imagine the amount of subscribers you have every month from this list.

Thank you for reading. Have a great day!

Interesting article. I would have never thought of using leads to obtain more AC page views.
