Who I Really Am

Emily Griffin
No day goes by,
where you don't see who I really am.

You live in a fantasy world,
you still see me as your baby girl.

twenty-one and aging,
all you see is your baby girl.

You try and bring out the positive,
when I am trying to see reality.

I just want too see reality,
weather good or bad.

You ask why I am angry,
I try to explain.

You'll never understand.
The storm rages once again.

I lay down my soul,
to roam the earth.
Never to pass over.
Misunderstood.
Angry.
Unknown.

For he will never understand who I really am.
No matter how I cry out.
I will roam the earth to find the one who does understand.
For eternity.
