As I was checking my email and of course looking through my AC account, I heard the breaking news jingle on the small TV that is always on in the background while I am on the web. Our local meteorologist have interrupted the regularly scheduled programs to tell us North Texans, that the weather outside is becoming dangerous. The temperature in Dallas, is dipping below freezing, the rain that has been falling all morning is now turning into ice and is freezing to everything it touches. Schools are being let out early. Bridges and overpasses are now being sanded and we are being warned to stay in doors at all cost.

I pray that any one that is on the road right now, is driving carefully. I also have to giggle to myself at the hoopla that inevitably occurs once or twice a year, every winter in the Dallas-Fort Worth area when snow or Ice has decided to disrupt our daily routines.

Today,I decided to put on my snow boots and parka and head out side to snap a few pictures of what our back yard looks like at this very icy moment. The trees look like beautiful ice sculptures that could not be duplicated by man. I will also have a few pictures posted on my personal blog that you all are more than welcome to visit. The address is http://mvkq3.blogspot.com.

So here's to all of you who live in really cold places, this includes my family that lives in Chicago, Indiana, and Wisconsin. I feel your pain, at least I will feel it for today. Tomorrow our forecast is said to be in the mid 50's and the day after should be sunny and temps in the mid 60's.

That's Texas for you!

Funny you should have this title. the first time I drove through Texas during November and saw frost on the ground, I was surprised. Didn't think it happened!
