Who Are the Sexual Offenders in Your Neighborhood?
Learning to Use an Innovative New Website to Protect Your Family and Yourself from Sexual Offenders
How could this be that millions of sexual predators live in small towns, crowed with children and single woman, and no one is warned. It is scary to believe that our innocent children are riding their bikes past potential predators everyday.
I am here today with good new, parents. Take a long look around your town, there is a 92% chance your town has a sexual offender living in it. Praise be to a new website, that in my opinion far exceeds the the capabilities of our state Megan's Law website. The site you ask, www.familywatchdog.us . A site with better search criteria to help you pin point just where the sexual offenders live in your town.
This site first asks you for your address. once you fill in the information and begin the search, you will see dozens if not hundreds of dots marking the sexual offender addresses and mapping just how far they live from your home. You can click on any of the dots and see the sexual offenders picture and address, alias names, their convictions, and for a fee, you can view their criminal back round. You can even find sexual offenders who have moved in and out of your town in the past seven days.
This is a family tool that needs to be taken advantage of. We here it all the time, the Internet is a swimming pool for sexual predators to lurk their way into our families. Well heres a site that flips it and reversed it. Parents, we can now use the internet to keep sexual offenders from our families. Although there are still millions of offenders and predators on important message boards and chat rooms, we now have an upper hand in on those who may actually come in contact with our children on a daily basis.
It is important we familiarize our selves, our children, and all caretakers with the faces and locations of sexual offenders, who may become repeat offerers. Another great way to use this site, is to check all the neighborhoods of our children's friends and our family members. How many times have we let our children stay at a friends house, and not even known if a sexual offender was a neighbor, or even a parent of our child's friend. What about grandparents. How many times have your kids stayed at their grandparents house, played in the yard, and walked to the park in their neighborhood, all with out the knowledge of houses to stay away from or people to avoid.
Steps to Take
*Visit www.familywatchdog.us and search your town for sexual offenders
*Look up all other neighborhoods your children may come in contact with, whether friends or family
*Teach your children about sexual offenders, strangers, and safety. Make sure they know to scream for help as soon as they feel scared
*Watch your teenagers, know who your kids know, by first and last name! keep communication open and know where they are at all times
*Show all your family members this site and even print out the pages for those who do not have internet access
*Never let your children play unattended, without a trusted adult supervising
*Check this site weekly, and introduce new information to all of your family immediately.
*Pass this site on to anyone with children, teenagers, or singe woman who all may become victims of a sexual predator.
Now that You Know
Plan the safest route for your children to get to and from school. Let the schools know of any offenders that may live nearby. Some states have limited the number of miles a sexual offender can live from schools and playgrounds. Find out your states laws by visiting your states website, or going directly to the police station or courthouse. Make sure you familiarize yourself with the faces of the sexual offenders in your and surrounding areas, and keep your eye out if you see them around. They have rights just like us, they can go to the movies, grocery store, or local attractions without the states approval. The chances of you coming in contact with an offender are very high, so high I can almost guarantee you already have within the past month.
Stay alert, but do not let the fear control you either. Remember sexual offenders paid their dues by spending time in prison, many, sadly enough will become repeat offenders, but not all. Tools like the site www.familywatchdog.us help keep us informed on potential predators. do someone else a favor and pass this article on, for their safety and yours.
