Who Shot Tupac? Did Diddy Do It?

Celin Childs
Could someone have cracked one of the most controversial cases in the world? One man claims to have pieced together the 1994 case of Tupac Shakur taking five bullets and being pistol-whipped in a New York recording studio. I, personally, almost lost hope, but something in the back of my mind held on to a small piece of optimism that one day we would all know the truth.

Sean "Diddy" Combs, known as Puffy Daddy at the time, is being accused of knowing or at least being involved in Tupac's first shooting in the lobby of a New York recording studio. Diddy is denying any connection to the shooting and thinks that it is preposterous for anyone to believe that he had any involvement in the shooting.

It is not a wonder that most people believe Sean Combs had something to do with the shooting because of his affiliation with the rapper, the Notorious B.I.G. a.k.a. Biggie a.k.a. Christopher Wallace, who happened to be Tupac's rival.

After Tupac's survival of the first shooting incident, he insisted in several of his songs that Sean Combs and the Notorious B.I.G. had something to do with the shooting. He believed that these two actually set him up to be killed that night as he left the studio.

Sean Combs has always denied the allegation, however, the Feds and the Los Angeles Times, Pulitzer Prize-winning staff writer Chuck Phillips have evidence that just may prove their case against Combs. Exclusive interviews with witnesses that night and records pertaining to the case have built up what looks like sufficient evidence in the 12 ½ year case.

Documentation proves that Sean Combs and the Notorious B.I.G. were both present along with other members of Bad Boy Records; in the recording studio at the same time Tupac was shot. Allegations are being said against Combs that he was notified personally by James "Jimmy" Sabatino, that the trap for Tupac and his entourage had been laid in the lobby of the recording studio; just 10 floors below the Bad Boy team.

James Sabatino, an Italian-American, allegedly helped plan the attack on the rapper along with an ex-convict named James Rosemond (aka Jimmy Henchman) according to ThugLifeArmy.com. Phillips alleges that the two men lured Shakur up to the Quad Recording Studio after they offered him $7,000 to provide a vocal track for a rap recording. That is when three attackers beat and attempted to murder Shakur by pumping five bullets into his badly beaten body.

Rosemond now runs Czar Entertainment, which happens to be the most successful hip-hop talent management firm in N.Y., and he is said to be "one of the most respected and feared players in hip-hop." Sabatino is now serving time in Pennsylvania for racketeering and wire fraud.

Allegedly, once the job was done, Sabatino was allowed to hang out with Sean Combs and introduced Combs to his mobster clique and took him along for the ride to extravagant clubs filled with mobsters in New York and Miami. There is also evidence that Sabatino helped finance the Notorious B.I.G.'s album.

The beef that was spread from coast to coast arrived after a long time friendship between both Tupac and Biggie. According to Phillips, the alleged motives for the shooting were "to punish Shakur for disrespecting them and rejecting their business overtures and, not incidentally, to curry favor with Combs" However, most of the world knows or at least believes that the shooting was sparked by the East and West coast wars between Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac Shakur.

Both played a dangerous game of spitting lyrics filled with hate for the other side and causing extensive tension between the eastern and western parts of the country. Tupac vowed in his raps to get even with the Bad Boy team, however, he was shot and killed two years later in Las Vegas, NV after an altercation during a Mike Tyson fight.

Tupac did not get the chance to get even physically, however, his hate messages against the rappers Sean Combs and the Notorious B.I.G. are assumed to have sparked the killing of the Notorious B.I.G. six months after Tupac's death.

These allegations against Sean Combs may take a serious toll on the multi-millinaire's empire. With his record label, clothing designs, fragrances, and more, the producer may not get all that he bargined for if the case gets really serious.

With little being said and the files and records being protected by the Feds, we may have to wait a little while longer to get full access or information pertaining to this horrific incident. However, most of the world knows or at least believes that this tragic rap story does not and will not have a happy ending until the day we all get the truth.

tu PAC was killed in las Vegas after leaving a mike Tyson fight. After his death, biggie smalls released ready to die, where puff is rhyming with biggie, and he begins to say where he was sitting in the Tyson fight, and then goes on in the proceeding lines to say, and I quote, "...same night same fight, but one of us cats aint playin right, I'll let you tell it. Yo sun, peep your life in the hands of two felons, and see if you don't fall every chance you get." and that folks, to me is a confession. Listen to it for yourself, sorry I don't know the son title, just the cd it's on.
