Recently, my daughter went to work one morning. As soon as she got there the boss's called me to come get her. They told me, "She is sick, and can't come back until she feels better and has no temperature." They had told us the same thing the day before. When I took her to the doctor that day he gave her permission to go back to work the following day which she did. She hates having to miss any time at all.
Anyway, I went back to pick her up and she asked me if we could go see Dawn. I called Dawn, and she said for us to come on up. We did and spent the day with her. That afternoon I started back home to Greenbrier, and just north of Marshall I dozed off for a minute or two. I woke up just as I drove off the road. I traveled down the ditch for a short distance then got back on the highway and drove on into Marshall. There the police stopped me and told me to go to the sheriff's office and fill out an accident report when I explained what happened.
I did then I drove on home without calling a wrecker. Early the next morning I called the insurance people and told them about having the wreck. They gave me another phone number and told me to report it to them. Eventually a man called me back who was the adjustor. He told me don't drive it anymore and call a wrecker to come get it to the body shop you want to use. I did and used Greenbrier Collision Center located at Springhill. In a few days they had the car repaired and I was back in my own vehicle and out of the rental. I didn't like driving a vehicle that belonged to someone else and was tickled to be back in my own. The shop did a great job fixing the car.
My daughter was in the back seat when I wrecked, and it scared her to death. Before that day every time I had gone to see Dawn, I had spent the night up in Mountain Home. This time I went up there and back the same day and it was too much after getting up so early and not taking a nap that day. Now as to who was sick after I wrecked the car that day'"it definitely would have been me.
Dawn and I eventually broke up, and I hope to date someone closer to home next. I would rather not have to drive so far to see the lady that is in my life.
