Who is the Top Man in ALL Professional Sports Memorabila Including Baseball, Football & Basketball?

Nearly Overnight, Brandon Steiner Becomes the Top Salesman in All Fields of Professional Sports Memorabilia

Scott Lifshine
Spending many summers with Brandon Steiner was nothing out of the ordinary, at that time. We were just regular campers at the summer sleep-away Camp Sussex in Sussex, New Jersey. Then he progressed towards the kitchen, while I became a camp counselor.

Camp Sussex has many vivid memories for Brandon and I. Although he was one age group below me, we went through thick and thin together. We stayed in the same trenches, worshiped the same people, ate the same food and drank the same purple bug juice. We went to all the same activities. Ceramics, boating, swimming, fishing, pioneering, archery, basketball, softball, horseback riding and others.

Me being the ubiquitous Super 8 filmmaker I am, johnny-on-the spot, some of us were performing a Watkins-Glen SummerJam mega-concert tribute on the exact same weekend the event was taking place in the summer of 1973. Lo and behold, the fifteen year old Brandon Steiner winds up in the film, standing around and cavorting with his kitchen pals. So today I can claim credit for being the first person the ever film Brandon Steiner.

However I'm certainly not the last. If the name Brandon Steiner is still not ringing a bell with you perhaps this might-

New York Yankees-Steiner
New York Mets-Steiner
Los Angeles Dodgers-Steiner
Notre Dame-Steiner
Syracuse-Steiner
Dallas Cowboys-Steiner

And others.

Brandon Steiner is the owner the company SteinerSports. That is the exact same Steiner. I'm the first one who ever put on film. Founded in 1987. That summer he came up to Camp with someone named Nancy Leiberman. Scott, he says, "Here's Nancy Leiberman" and she was playing basketball on the Upper Courts.

I had a private screening with Brandon at Camp in 2005 to show him the first film of himself. Believe me that is an experience neither one of us are going to forget for a long, long time.

I think it's unbelievable how some unknown boy could become the veritable inventor of an entire industry, at this time the Sports Memorabilia industry. His foundations are at the Camp we shared. I am proud to have been part of Brandon's ascent into the world arena. It seems to me that Brandon has total commitment to his field. If you go to Yankee Stadium for instance, there is the SteinerSports logo right next to the brand new Yankees scoreboard.

He also has other enterprises, such as an ice cream chain call Last Licks, where many athletes come weekly to sign autographs and sample ice cream. Roger Staubach was the first athlete he ever marketed for. Now it's the likes of Derek Jeter and Tiger Woods, Eli Manning, Hulk Hogan, Captain Lou Albano and 5,000-10,000 more. He sells over a million signatures a year, including not just sports figures but hand-signed articles from many show business stars such as KISS and The Sopranos.

How would have ever believed this meteoric rise to prominence and fame from the small, platinum haired boy camper from Camp Sussex in Sussex, New Jersey? He was a great basketball player, but to anticipate this? Where does he get his moxie, his contacts, his networks? He was just another camper at Camp. No one could expect this.

Now he invites me to press conferences. For instance, I attended the one where he announced the planning of the parting out of the old Yankee Stadium. There were a whole lot of cameras and reporters. Some local and some not so local. I also attended another press conference at the Times Center featuring appearances by Yogi Berra and Don Larsen. If you want any sports memorabilia Brandon Steiner is the way to go! As a member of the Camp Sussex Alumni Association I am privy to advance sales and auctions.

All I can say is, Brandon Steiner wow! My salutations to you, sir. Who else would've got this thing going? Brandon also does much charity work for many outlets and communities. Our Camp foundations shall never be lost on us.

Just a note-it's not like people were running over there with cameras and microphones to interview Mr. Steiner in this film. It was taken out on a peaceful, serene patch of camp grass. Nevertheless I can still claim credit for being the first one to ever film the biggest name ever in professional sports, that being Brandon Steiner of SteinerSports!
