I want to share what Healthcare Reform has done for me. I am unemployed and my discounted cobra expired Oct. 1. In order to have health insurance I could pay cobra $937 a month, which is more than my house payment, or get independent insurance. So, I went to get independent insurance. With the new bills passed in congress, I cannot get maturnity coverage, the insuance companies will cover pre-exsisting conditions, but want me to pay$600 a month wiht a $7500 deductible and poor benefits on top of that, (this is because I had endometriosis), not a condition that is expensive or that would hospitalize me, and sbout 45% of all women have. Also, I have to carry insurance for my 6 year old to be covered, they will not cover under 19 outside of family coverage. So, I guess I get to reward the insurance companies by paying them outragous fees in order to insure my child, in case of an emergency. Did I mention that I do not have job, I am currently finishing school that I have been attendin

As a dissabled Marine Vet, I am voting out every politician currently in office. My thinking is that this will send a clear mssg to any politician that govt is too big, wastefull and expensive. In my opinion none of the current people in office understand this, all parties included.

  • Shelly 3/22/2010

The Dem. in AZ went behind the peoples back and we called them to tell them to vote no but they don't care about what we the people wanted and I will not vote for 1 of them when they are up for reelection and that will show them how mad we are at them. I emailed them and called them and told them how piss I am at them.

Interesting...and what are your thoughts on the health care bill?

  • J.C. Grant 11/16/2009

Who voted for the health care bill? Did your congressperson?

  • Lynn Pritchett 11/11/2009

I appreciate you making this important list! Seeing the many "D" names in the NO list is amazing - The media sure didn't point that out! I like that this thing's got everyone's attention! The government could just turn to the constitution for an answer to this dilemma "..no cruel or unusual punishment.." and know that the only people in the USA who fit that part of the constitution are the legislators and the criminal prisoners - they are 'entitled' to universal healthcare constitutionally. Why not the U.S. taxpayers and their children?

  • Tony Vega 11/10/2009

Thanks for the list! I have a similar roll call on my blog. Keep us informed!

  • Rebecca Caroll 11/10/2009

Great roll call, JC! Very Important info! Praying it won't make it through the Senate.

  • Cathy A Montville 11/10/2009

Holy moly! That's a lot of names when you see it in a list! Thank you so much!

  • Jennifer Bove 11/10/2009

a lot of work here J.C. thanks for sharing the info
