Who Will Challenge Senator Johnny Isakson from Georgia?
Michael Thurman and RJ Hadley Are the Democratic Hopefuls
Thurman is riding the Democrats party line since he is currently serving as Labor Commissioner of Georgia. His website is still under construction so no one knows what he stands for as a US Senator. Thurmond is inaccessible, unlike his primary opponent Hadley, who I have reached by phone for brief conversations. Basically Thurmond is unconcerned about the primary in July.
RJ Hadley, Democratic Hopeful from Rockdale County
On Hadley's website he talks about how as a child he survived his parents divorce and the subsequent foreclosure of his childhood home. So he feels a lot of empathy for those that have lost homes these past few years.
Hadley went to school on a church scholarship to help build a life for himself and his family. He became a juvenile social worker in Atlantic City before going back to school to obtain his technology degree. He now is the Chief-of-Staff on the Rockdale County Commission in Georgia.
Hadley is running because he believes "We must aspire to government for the people over government for the wealthiest and most powerful. Leaders who put the needs of the people ahead of political gain will overcome challenges we as a nation must face." He further believes that jobs and education are worth fighting for to improve our nation and the lives of its people.
On the Issues; RJ Hadley
Hadley believes that by using more alternative fuels such as wind energy and bio-fuels we will reduce our dependency on foreign oil and provide new jobs in clean energy. This is a marvelous idea that could see its time come in America if Hadley can defeat Michael Thurmond in the primary and Senator Isakson in the General Election.
Also Hadley believes that we should hasten our withdrawal from Iraq and start a plan of withdrawal from Afghanistan. Reason being we are spending $125 billion a year, according to Hadley's website, that could be better used on our poor VA system of health care for our veterans and on the GI Bill for returning veterans. These are a few good ideas that need to be implemented now in Washington.
Hadley is a political unknown that has great aspirations but to defeat his opponent in the primary he needs to get his strategy together and out in the hands of the people. He has been doing political events across the state of Georgia and is coming up slowly in the polls. He needs to challenge his opponent's lack of concern for the primary and why RJ Hadley is the best man for the job. Time is short before the primary and now is the time to act.
