I'd like to explain how WWE has a main-event star right under its nose in Charlie Haas.
Haas has won the WWE tag team title three times, but he hasn't been a major part of the show for a long time.
Earlier this year, Haas was entertaining the crowd with impersonations of WWE legends like Roddy Piper, Jimmy Snuka, and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin.
However, the mimicry stopped as suddenly as it started, and Haas was left in career limbo again.
Here's how WWE can send Haas to the top. First, he starts the impersonations again for a few weeks, just to refresh the fans' memory of his gimmick.
Then, Haas announces that he's finally found it: an impersonation that he will stick with permanently.
WHOOOOOOOO!!!!
It's "Nature Boy" Charlie Haas.
The fans' mouths drop open in disbelief as Haas does a full-on impersonation of Ric Flair: the robe, the tights, the strut, the "Whoo!", and the big win with the figure-four leglock.
The next week, when Haas comes out to celebrate the rebirth of his career, he gets booed out of the building.
Like all good heels, Haas has a justification that sounds perfectly logical in his own mind.
"Don't treat Ric Flair like a sacred cow!" he says. "After all, he wasn't the first Nature Boy. Buddy Rogers was the original Nature Boy, and don't forget about Buddy Landell!"
Shawn Michaels interrupts.
"I retired Ric Flair at Wrestlemania 24," Shawn says, "and I won't have you disrespecting his legacy. I challenge you to a one-on-one match to determine whether you really can be the Nature Boy."
At the end of the match, Haas distracts the referee while Mike Knox gives Shawn a spinebuster on the ramp. Haas wins by countout.
Celebration No. 2: Haas introduces "The Enforcer" Mike Knox as his own version of Arn Anderson.
Would you look at that? We just created another star!
Ric Flair interrupts the celebration. He comes to the ring...and hugs Haas and Knox.
"I knew it!" Flair says. "Charlie Haas, I knew you had what it takes to be the next Nature Boy! Together, we will rebuild the dynasty of the Four Horsemen! Whoo!"
So for the next few months, Flair scouts the WWE...looking for two more wrestlers to complete the Horsemen. That way, the WWE can create two more stars.
The interesting thing about this idea is that you can also do it with Charlie "Hit Man" Haas as a takeoff of Bret Hart.
In this case, the Hart Dynasty can attack Shawn Michaels to allow Haas to earn the nickname, and it would be easier for Bret to endorse Haas as the new "Hit Man" with the other Harts already supporting him.
"Nature Boy" Charlie Haas or Charlie "Hit Man" Haas? Either way, the WWE can shoot him to the top and make some money.
What do you think? Would this idea work? Who would you pick as the other two Horsemen? Please leave a comment.

Post a CommentI beleive he should be brought back to wwe right now shelton benjamin is going no where in his career, charlie hass should return in this way
First of all his return promos are needed in which they show Hass returns he has find his way,its also must show hass having even more intensity in his gimmick something like ken shemrock he is great technician so his hass strecht would be cool even a cross face finisher having more intense and agreesive personality,
now whn hass comes back he gives a promo about finding his way now he more focused thn ever etc suddenly sshelton interupts him n wants him to be partners again as world greatest team n tell him that they will face the tag champions for the tag titles if he accepts and hass accepts.now next week or any ppv.they face tag champs.shelton starts the match when shelton comes for the tag he turns on him leaving him alone to be beaten.after the pinfall hass enters the ring and beats down benjamin, and says he his tired shelton he's

Thanks for the good comments. Bo, I like your twist on the Hitman Haas idea.
Jeff, I don't really like the Nature Boy idea at all, The Horseman should never be brought back in any way and neither should there be another Nature Boy.
They must not see something in Charlie Haas I don't know I haven't followed much lately. I do like the Hitman Haas (drop the Charlie) idea though. "if" they could get Bret back to endorse or maybe not endorse some sort of Candian group led by the Hart's and Haas and one other. If Bret did or didn't endorse this idea, to get this group over they could turn on Bret himself. This would get Bret over as a face and Haas' group as heels. Now Who will save Bret from this beating to make him so popular. Shawn Michaels himself. But what will really get this group over will be when Bret then turns on Shawn (vs. Hass) for his revenge (of course this whole thing was Bret's ideas) thus Haas can become a singles star and put Shawn on the shelf with a back inhury after they put him in the Sharpshooter and won't let go. Oh yeah and where is HBK's
Jeff, I love the idea. I don't know if it would succeed in pushing him to the top or not though, but at least it does something very important - make Haas relevant again.
Great article! Our family loves wrestling and watch it together as a family on Friday nights. I'm not sure who I'd pick for the other two horseman, though. Santino, so they can have "one of the boys" in the group? Or how about Hornswoggle with Evan Borne? Either way, great job on the artilcle.
