Who Will Read My Poems?
The poems that I write
Will it just be AC followers
Or folks from far and wide
It's sad to think that sometimes
Few people get to see
Some of our compositions
After all - viewing is free
I dream that maybe one day soon
All throughout all the world
There will be people waiting
For the next rhyme to unfurl
But so far views seem limited
To mostly friends on here
I'm longing for those world wide views
That one day might appear
Then with my popularity
And the visits to my works
That much sought after money
Might help me give up work
I'd really love to find a way
To write and earn enough
To spend my time far more relaxed
Together with my love
But so far it's not working
Yesterdays views were poor
I'm not earning nearly enough
To keep the wolves from the door
One day I pray that I will find
The formula I seek
Each day my books will see more sales
And the future look less bleak
It's through my dream of real success
My future does depend
So if you like the things I write
Please forward to a friend
Maybe once the ball gets rolling
I will will write more and more
My articles will snowball
And my readers still want more
I'd love to have a fan club
And be read throughout the land
From north to south and east to west
And life would be just grand
But right now this is just a dream
And readership is low
Day by day I check my stats
And wait for these to grow
So here's to fame and fortune
For us writers one and all
One day we'll find success I hope
And then can hold our heads up tall

@Gerry The link is one that Yahoo put in automatically that points to a Category "Poems", and there is something wrong which renders it broken. Double whammy unfortunately :(
Tony, are you aware that the link you provide in line one is NOT pointing to any of your poems, but to a general page for poems with no results whatsoever? Give us a working link to your poems, and I'll be happy to pass them along.

I am hoping that my Squidoo lens on Limericks by AC writers will help to bring some traffic in for us. It has been a bit slow, but then I am a new member, need to build up a good following as well as increase my exposure to the outside world.
I emphasize and am in the boat with you. My stats could use some fertilizer too.
