Who Will the Undertaker Face at WrestleMania XXVIII?

Spy Radio

On the January 30 th 2012, episode of Monday Night Raw, Triple H (HHH) was about to wish Executive Vice President of Talent Relations and Interim General Manger of Monday Night Raw, Mr. John Laurinaitis, the best of luck on his future endeavors. Before HHH could get every word out of his mouth he was interrupted by the return of The Undertaker. The Undertaker returned and took a slow walk to the ring. The Undertaker entered the ring and stood face to face with HHH. After staring at each other The Undertaker looked up at the WrestleMania XVIII sign. Indicating that he wants to face HHH at WrestleMania. HHH did not turn around to face the WrestleMania sign. Instead HHH gave The Undertaker a pat on the shoulder and went backstage. Leaving The Undertaker standing in the middle of the ring with an opponent for WrestleMania.

Now that HHH has turned down The Undertaker's challenge, who will The Undertaker face at WrestleMania? The Undertaker could face a number of people at WrestleMania he may even continue to pursue HHH. The Undertaker should not continue pursuing HHH as a WrestleMania opponent. These two already battled twice at WrestleMania with The Undertaker picking up the victories both times. For that reason there is no need for them to face each other a third time, unless the WWE planned for HHH to end The Undertaker's undefeated streak at WrestleMania. It does not make a lot of sense for HHH to end The Undertaker's undefeated streak since The Undertaker already defeated HHH twice before. Besides that HHH does not wrestle full time anymore; Therefore, having him end The Undertaker's streak does not do anything for his career.

If The Undertaker was going to lose at WrestleMania they should at least have someone like Dolph Ziggler or Wade Barrett end the streak. Both of these Superstars still have long careers ahead of them. If one of those Superstars defeated The Undertaker they could continue to point it out over the course of their career.

Maybe the WWE is planning on bringing a Superstar back to face The Undertaker. One Superstar that comes to mind is Brock Lesnar. Lesnar recently retired from the UFC, meaning a return to the WWE would not be out of the question. Even though Lesnar could return to the WWE if he wanted to, I'm not so sure he does. There is really nothing left for Lesnar to accomplish in the WWE. Lesnar has already held the WWE Championship on three separate occasions. Besides that he was won the Royal Rumble and King Of The Ring. If Lesnar were to come back to face The Undertaker at WrestleMania, Lesnar would probably want to win the Match. The only reason Lesnar would come back to lose is for a big pay day.

Will Lesnar take that pay day? Will The Undertaker continue to pursue HHH or will he look elsewhere for a WrestleMania opponent?
