Who Will Win American Idol? Crystal Bowersox, Casey James or Lee Dwyze

Many agree that this year's American Idol was not as exciting as its predecessors, yet as always as the tension rises as Big Mike leaves the competition and the top three contestants are fight for the title.

Who will win American Idol - Casey James

Blond good looks, great voice and a stage performance that marries a confident laid back attitude with raw talent.

Do I see him as winning American Idol? Hardly.

The competition from Crystal Bowersox and Lee Dewyze is very hard to beat, yet this singer's good looks and great vocals have a good chance of winning him a career as a professional singer and it is very likely we have not seen the last of him.

His May 11^th duet with Big Mike was great, but it will very difficult for Casey James to make it to the finale - unless America falls in love with this young man's blond locks and blue eyes and decides to award the title based on the outside package rather than the content.

Who will win American Idol? - Lee Dewyze

Great stage performance, great voice but poor nerves and a tension that shows as soon as he steps off the stage. This former paint salesman is the only contestant that can stand up to MamaSox's talent, and critics agree that he is the most likely contestant to be in the finale with her.

It will be difficult for Lee Dewyze to outclass Crystal Bowersox, but we have seen situations where the underdog ends up taking the prize.

Think about the Susan Boyle phenomenon - everyone was predicting she would win Britain's Got Talent yet she came second in the contest. Could this happen in this year's American Idol too? Could the powers that be decide that they want an unexpected ending to this year's American Idol? One should never take for granted the results of an open contest, especially when millions of Americans are deciding whom they prefer.

Who will win American Idol? - Crystal Bowersox

Crystal Bowersox embodies the spirit of American Idol - a young Ohio mom with a difficult past, a striking personality and a voice that is sweet yet powerful, Bowersox has been my personal favorite from the very beginning.

Bowersox owned the stage from her first audition. Her talent shines and her voice is amazing. Whatever the outcome of American Idol she is one of the few contestants this year that truly deserves a career in music. A young Janice Joplin with blond dreadlocks and a huge tattoo on her back, Bowersox could deservingly win the title this year, but there is a huge factor that might work against her, especially in her future career.

The music industry pushes women to be sexy. Being a singer seems to automatically mean that women should don push up bras and wear skin tight pants - Will this be the future of this young singer? Think of the popular singers of 2010 - from Taylor Swift to Carrie Underwood, from Beyonce to Rihanna, the music world is dominated by young women who are not only talented but also strikingly good looking and very sexy.

Though Bowersox is undoubtedly talented and her unconventional looks are a breath of fresh air in a sea of artificial bimbos, will the music world accept a singer who does not market sex? Will she succumb to the pressure and loose her trademark dread locks or will she dominate the scene with her fresh unconventional attitude?

I just saw an interview where she says she wants to get her teeth cosmetically fixed. Hopefully it will be the only thing that will change about this talented artist - We love you just the way you are Crystal!
