Indianapolis Colts
They have been strong all year. They took a few weeks off to avoid injury. But, did not look rusty last week. Peyton Manning, of course, is the star. He has a better than average receiving corps led by Reggie Wayne. Rushing is average with Joseph Addai.
Their defense has been above average, but not spectacular.
New York Jets
The Jets have the best defense in the AFC. They have the best running game as well led by Thomas Jones. The only possible weakness is rookie quarterback Mark Sanchez. The team has had a Cinderella run and that bodes well for them.
Minnesota Vikings
Led by Brett Favre and Adrian Peterson, the offense has been phenomenal. The defense has been just as good. There were a few times in the season it seemed players did not show up. This cannot happen if the Vikings want to win it all.
New Orleans Saints
Their offense can be one of the best ever. Drew Brees has been spectacular and the Saints romp at home. The only question mark here is the defense. They can be scored upon. A tough team no one wants to play, but not unbeatable. They remind me a great deal of the St. Louis Rams when they were the greatest show on turf.
AFC Final
After much analysis, I believe the Colts will pull out a victory. It will not be a blow out. The game will come down to the fourth quarter, but Manning will make it work. He is so much more experienced then Sanchez. This is not the Jets year, but watch out for them in 2011. My Patriots will not win the division next year.
Indianapolis 24, New York Jets 21
NFC Final
Although New Orleans is at home, Minnesota has looked at most times during the season as the team to beat. I think the Vikings defense will disrupt Brees enough to cause turnovers. I just love the Viking defense. If it's close, I'll take Minnesota. They are stronger overall.
Minnesota 31, New Orleans 26
The Super Bowl
This will be a great and historic one as Brett Favre becomes the oldest quarterback to play in a Super Bowl. I adore Manning, but he is beatable. I like Favre, but he can easily be forced to make errors. I love Adrian Peterson. Addai not so much. The defense goes to Minnesota. Therefore, the Vikings win the Super Bowl!
Minnesota 28, Indianapolis 23
