Who Would You Cast in Your Movie?

The other day somebody posed the question to me, "if you were making a movie, who would you cast?" Being the movie enthusiast that I am I had to think it over and I've come up with my cast.

First of all I'll have to say that Jennifer Connelly is off limits. Anybody who reads my articles probably knows by now that I love Jennifer Connelly and she would be the obvious choice, so I'm eliminating her from the competition.

Also, I'm not casting the entire movie, just the main cast. I'm thinking five people is a good main cast. The five roles in my movie will be the lead male, the lead female, the supporting actor, the comedy relief and the relative known.

Relative Unknown - If I were in charge of making a movie I would want to cast some of my favorite actors and actresses that need a little bit more attention. My ultimate choice for unknown who needs a little love is Nora Zehetner. Nora Zehetner was in a wonderful movie last year called Brick and was also in Heroes for a short time before being killed. She's been wonderful in both roles and it's about time she got some bigger roles.

Comedy Relief - My movie would definitely not be a comedy because most comedies aren't any good but being the humorous guy I am there hasn't to be at least one funny person. Someone who can just kind of hang around and chill out and then just at the right time throw in a good zinger. The perfect guy for that role is Adam Brody. Adam Brody has been hilarious in roles on the O.C. and Gilmore Girls and steals just about every scene he is in.

Supporting Actor - When it comes to supporting actor my list ends and begins with one person. If I can't get this guy in this role then I'm just not making the movie. He is Sam Rockwell. When Sam Rockwell is in your movie there is one thing that is certain and that is that he will entertain you. It might not be the best movie and Rockwell's performance might not even be the best performance ever, but it will be entertaining.

Lead Actress - Since Jennifer Connelly is out of the competition it makes this decision a little bit tougher. In the end my choice would have to be Maria Bello. Maria Bello is always solid in every movie she's been in. Even in movies that weren't especially great like Secret Window or 100 Mile Rule, Maria Bello was good. Then when she is given something good to be in she knocks it out of the park like in the History of Violence or the Cooler. A close runner-up would have to be Rachel McAdams. She is one of the few actresses that have been good in every movie I've seen her in.

Lead Actor - This is an easy one. This actor was in my favorite movie last year and my favorite movie the year before that. With Rescue Dawn and The Dark Knight coming out he could be in my favorite movies of the next two years too. He is, of course, Batman himself, Christian Bale. Christian Bale's resume speaks for itself. The Prestige, Batman Begins, Equilibrium and American Psycho are all outstanding performances, he was even really good in Shaft, an otherwise mediocre film.
