Whole Foods is planning on applying to the Board of Standards and Appeals in the next months. Their application will then go under a review and public hearing in early 2011 according to the Brooklyn Community Board 6.
Residents are concerned that the market wants a separate parking structure. There is no scheduled opening date as of press time, but the site is fully cleaned and ready for construction.
According to a letter sent from Mark Mobley of Whole Foods to Craig Hamerman, District Manager of Community Board 6, the property was cleaned and overseen by the state Department of Environmental Conservation.

Post a CommentThe site was not "fully cleaned". Whole Foods put together several lots for this development and only one of them went through the Brownfield Cleanup Program.
