Why Adam Lambert Should Win American Idol

Joshua Jennings
Adam Lambert, Kris Allen, and Danny Gokey all had great performances Tuesday night, but Adam Lambert's stood out above the rest. This is the trend week in and week out, and this week was no exception.

Do not get me wrong. Kris Allen and Danny Gokey each pulled out a stellar performance. However, while Kris and Danny each had one amazing performance, Adam stood out on both of his songs. The notes he hit were, simply, some that his competitors could not have reached.

While Kris Allen was let down by his song arrangement and Danny Gokey was let down by Paula's song choice, Adam Lambert was not let down by either. Two great song choices, two great vocals, and two great performances made him stand out above the rest.

There are a few reasons Adam should win.

Outstanding Voice

Adam Lambert can hit notes that very few can. His range is unprecedented, and his tone is spot on song after song. There are no pitch problems thrown in here and there, and he is able to hit every note from start to finish.

Kris and Danny both have excellent voices as well, but very rarely will they not miss a note, not have a problem with tone, or not have a problem with pitch at some point throughout the song. Each will certainly make a great CD, but Adam will undeniably give better live performances.

Energy and Stage Presence

Adam is the oldest of the three, and it certainly shows. His stage presence is top notch, and he is able draw in the crowd every time he steps on the stage. When he gets in the spotlight, he seems at ease. In addition, Adam's energy level is top notch and allows him to draw in the crowd. His stage presence is better than either of his competitors, and this sets him apart every time he performs.

Great Performances

While Kris Allen and Danny Gokey have provided truly great performances several times throughout the season, Adam has provided one nearly ever time he has stepped on the stage. This is not a coincidence, either. It is the combination of his talents that sets him apart. A consistent voice and consistent stage presence let him bring it every time he steps on the stage.

Just think about what a great concert Adam would be able to provide. Night in and night out he brings it with his voice, energy, and stage presence. Because of this, Adam Lambert should win American Idol.

Hey Josh, I concur with your prediction, but after what happened last night, I've been brought back into the reality that anything can happen here. Like they said on Tuesday night's show, many people may not vote for Adam because they assume everyone else is. He's clearly in another league from the rest, and should win, but ya never know!

Sorry about the mistake. Adam is not the oldest, as several of you pointed out. I would go back to correct it, but am not able to.

Totally agree, Adam Lambert rocks! IMHO he is the best contestant the show has ever had. I voted for him 15 times last night lol I don't think God watches American Idol but just in case he does, I'm sure he voted for Adam too!;-)

Before the show, I just prayed to GOD to let them all sing their best and ask GOD to let the most deserving win.
Because talent, charisma, artistry, stage presence, sex appeal, magnetism, IT Factor and all over excellence and the ability to give joy, to thrill, to excite and to electrify the audience are all GOD given gifts and blessings.
So, I leave it all in GOD's Hands that this AI show to deliver what is fair and what is just according to GOD's Will.
May GOD bless us all with His Gift of the whole package to entertain us in this global depression and crown the deserving as The AI. Amen

Sorry, you're wrong. Adam is only 27 and it's Danny who is the oldest at 29 last April . . .
You Are So Beautiful is one of my favorite songs from Joe Cocker. So I was quite excited when I heard it's Danny's choice considering he has the voice for it. But sorry to say, I was not swept off my feet and wondering what the judges are praising him for. I watched and listened over again but to me it was a let down . . . Danny's first song was a non-event. I was hoping he will do justice with it. Maybe if he made the tempo slower, it would have been a sexy danceable number. So, Danny was forgettable last night . . . I agree with the judges about Kris' rendition of Heartless. It was faultless unlike his Apologize. I would remember Kris after last night because of Heartless . . .
With ADAM, I can't find fault. Adam has been consistently amazing all season that he competes with himself week after week. There's not one performance of Adam that's not astounding. Each and every performance is et

Adam seems to focus at perfecting a total persona act, while the other two mostly just sing. He has worked hard to get to where he is and deserves to win American Idol. BTW: I viewed Adam's HS graduation send off song (2000), and he was pitch perfect even then.

Adam is AMAZING@! He is so talented and has entertained us all season. He has earned the Idol crown. Vote Adam@! I am also proud of Adam because I work for the VA and while Adam was home he went to Miramar to sing for the troops and their families. He also visited the kids at his high school drama and signing departments and went back to the performing arts center where he started performing. He is truly the most talented and should win American Idol Vote Adam!

Adam is not the oldest, Danny is. So, one cannot attribute his superior stage presence to an age difference. I attribute it to talent and experience -- he's been performing for some time, now.
