Why I Am Me

Laura Leiva
Your life is your own, make of it what you will

Don't blame others for the pain that you feel

Anger does nothing but fan the flame

Of hurt and sadness, I never liked that game

We all have choices, we have that right

No matter how much it hurts, or try as we might

Look in the mirror and you might see

Exactly what you didn't want to be

Be grateful for those around

The only ones whose love will abound

Life is too precious, too short...You'll see

One day you will know

Why I am me
