Why I Am Not Voting for a McCain/Palin Ticket This Election Day

Crutnacker
The following is a list of reasons I cannot vote for a John McCain / Sarah Palin ticket this election day.

John McCain

John McCain has run a campaign as shameless and disgusting as the one run against him by George Bush in 2000.

John McCain would be our oldest president and is demonstrating ample examples of senior moments.

John McCain could potentially be in position to turn the Supreme Court to far right interests.

John McCain has not renounced George W. Bush nor his dangerous failed economic, domestic, and foreign policies.

John McCain has no clues about the struggles of the middle and lower class.

John McCain is prone to reckless decisions and an ill temper something we do NOT need in the wake of four disasterous years of George W. Bush.

John McCain's may claim he learned from the Keating 5 scandal that led to failed savings and loans and people losing their savings, but he apparently didn't see the perfect storm brewing again.

He has no clue about the economy, saying "fundamentals are strong" repeatedly.

He was for deregulation before he was against it, helping lead our economy to the brink.

He is anti abortion.

He voted against expanding the State Children's Health Insurance Program which would have extended health coverage to needy children.

He feels that "bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb" Iran is a good foreign policy.

He has no real explanation for how opening new areas to drilling will realistically drive down prices or our dependence on foreign oil, nor why any oil company is really interested in doing so.

John McCain picked Sarah Palin as his running mate, apparently with almost zero vetting.

SARAH PALIN

Sarah Palin is anti-science, rejecting evolution and the idea that man is responsible for climate change.

Sarah Palin blames her own incompetence and any other fact or impression that makes her look negative on the "mainstream media", refusing to answer questions that she's too stupid to formulate a response to.

Sarah Palin uses an affected "folksy" demeanor to pretend that she's not the consumate politician.

Believes that "government is the problem", when it is clear that unchecked greed by corporations has driven us into an economic hellhole.

Sarah Palin's ridiculous winky, "you betcha" performance in the debate.

Sarah Palin feels it is okay for women to pay for their own rape kits.

Sarah Palin's unbridled ambition that seems to indicate she's qualified to run the country after being mayor of a small town and Governor of a small state.

Sarah Palin's extreme cronyism in filling positions in her governments and her desire to rid the government of anyone who didn't agree with her.

Sarah Palin's questionable education record.

Sarah Palin's belief (proven wrong by her own child) that abstinence is the only realistic form of sex education.

Sarah Palin's belief that no woman should have an abortion unless her life is in danger.

Sarah Palin's belief that her knocked up kid should make herself an honest woman.

The fact that Sarah Palin had trouble naming a magazine or newspaper she reads regularly.

Sarah Palin's connection to a church that believes in end times theories and a preacher who believes in witches.

(More to come)

I disagree with you and I think some of your "facts" are off, but at least you give reasons that you have thought through. We all must vote by convictions as to what we believe. So many want a black person, or don't want an old person, or Obama is sexy, or Palin is too pretty. It's ridiculous. Again, we are not on the same side, but I am thankful you can articulate how you came to your conclusion.

I knew there was something about you I liked. :-)

Yeah, there's a long list of reasons why I wouldn't vote for them. Don't really want to vote for Obama/Biden either. The lesser of two evils shows up to yet another election.

Good for you Crut. It appears that you've worked it all out in your mind - and after all, isn't that what's really important? Thanks for sharing your personal views and revelations.
