Why Breast Size and Shape is Important to a Woman

Breast size and shape is very important to a woman and her self-esteem. If she is happy with her breasts then she will feel confident and feel happy within herself. If she is not happy with her breasts then she can feel shy, embarrassed and slip into depression. These negative emotions can then lead into other areas of her life.

Many women who are dissatisfied with their breasts opt for surgery. Regardless of the procedure, it is a big decision and will have a long lasting effect on her.

If you are associated with a person who has decided that the only way for her to be happy is to fix the problems, then you should be supportive throughout the entire process.

Remember this is not just about changing her outward appearance but also about internal feelings. These could be feelings of inadequacy, unworthiness or many other emotions that affect her daily thoughts.

Once the procedure has taken place and she is recovering make her know how positive the changes have been. This is defiantly what she is going to want to hear, despite the pain and discomfort she will be in.

There are many different procedures available to women today. Breast implants are very popular for enlarging the breast size. Of course there are medical factors to consider as an artificial product is being placed into the body. This poses risks, which you should be fully aware of before undertaking this procedure.

Breast reductions are also popular as sometimes the weight of the breasts can put unnecessary pressure on the woman's back, neck and shoulders. A woman who has a breast reduction often has a new lease on life after the surgery.

Breast lifts are available and are usually performed after children have been born to the woman. Breastfeeding and many other factors can cause the breast to loose muscle tone and then change in this shape. This can often be quite distressing to a woman who has always been happy with her breasts. Never make fun of this situation even if it is in jeer, as most women are very sensitive to the occurrence of this, however they may not show it to you.

Breast reconstruction is also something that also may be needed after an accident, cancer or other special circumstances. When a woman looses a breast or has it severely mutilated, she can feel like she has lost part of her femininity. This is a personal journey and some women chose not to fix the trauma area, but there are many who are thankful for the procedures and options available today.

Breasts do come in all shapes and sizes, but what shape and size a woman ends up with for herself can affect her in both a positive or negative way, in many areas of her life.
