Why Bristol Palin in the "Dancing with the Stars" Finals Makes People Fighting Mad

Is this the 10th time you've declared that you will no longer watch "Dancing with the Stars" because of its shifty voting processes? People are steaming mad that Bristol Palin beat out R&B singer Brandy for a chance at the Mirror Ball Trophy. One disturbed viewer (pun definitely intended) even took a shotgun to this TV set when he discovered that the Alaskan mom was still in the running. Another sent a "mysterious white powder" addressed to the DWTS contestant. This hit ABC show has always garnered its fair share of controversy. So why is it that now, all of a sudden-people are outraged that a "less deserving" celebrity has made it to the finals? Hmmm...

People hate Sarah Palin.

Ok, so hate is a strong word. But it's hard not to connect Bristol to the woman who has regaled us with "Her Alaska" (reality show.) The pair's connection to those beloved Tea Partiers doesn't sit too well with some Americans. So, while the Tea Partiers are collectively celebrating Bristol's dancing triumph, others are seething.

DWTS' flawed voting system reminds people that the same might occur in real political elections.

Maksim Chmerkovskiy mentioned that his friends in Philadelphia couldn't get their votes through even on the first try-something he calls a definite flawed voting system. It doesn't matter whether you're a Republican or a Democrat; the idea that your vote really doesn't count makes people fuming mad.

Bristol reportedly gained 20 pounds during the show.

Most of the celebrities taking part on the show end up either losing considerable inches, or sculpting their bodies into a work of art. Bristol's apparent weight gain causes viewers to wonder: what in the world has she been doingall this time? Getting into shape seems to be a natural result of being on "Dancing with the Stars." If no one can see results-either physical or on the dance floor, how could she be a contender against those who take the competition seriously?

Bristol portrays a "prudish teen mom."

Bristol seems to have some pretty harsh language (and opinions) for someone who portrays herself as a meek and reserved young mother. But how modest can a "teen activist" be with a potty mouth, a penchant for gay slurs, and a baby at 17?

Bristol calls viewers "haters."

Never in the history of "Dancing with the Stars" has a celebrity approached the viewers with even a mild sense of loathing. Sure, there are a few fiery celebs here and there. But Bristol's approach to the criticism (calling naysayers, "haters") is only fanning the flames.

Bristol has none of the personality that all of the others on this show has had. She takes it as if she should win due to her mother & friends.
She is a terrible dancer to watch, while even the black fellow is good. Brandy, never should have lost too her & it is due to the voting process. If Jennifer Grey doesn't win I shall never watch a cheating program again.
    Sincerely
