Why Do Bubbles Burst so Easily?

A Poem About Bubbles Bursting

Chelle
Why do bubbles burst so easily?
So thin and light and delicate

Bubbles form
from soap
from water
from blowing gently on a wand

Bubbles grow
they start small
and get bigger
and bigger
More air, more soap
Like a wish and a hope

Bubbles float
in the air
they bounce
sometimes
if you have a lot of bubbles
they collide
they join
they get bigger
like thoughts
forming giant bubbles in the air

it might be nice to be a bubble
if only for a few seconds while it lasts...

but then the pressure from within
and the pressure outside
causes the bubble to burst
the walls of a bubble are thin
and do not hold much...

Negativity
can also burst a bubble easily
(haven't you said that to someone before,
right before you say something negative,
"Not to burst your bubble or anything, but...")

So be strong
Don't let pressure get to you
Don't let your walls between you
and opposition
be so thin

And maybe you will save yourself from asking
Why do bubbles burst so easily?
