Why Businesses Need to Post Their Pricing Online

Salons in San Antonio, Texas Show Why Posting Your Pricing Online is Important

Marie Puddu
Most companies and stores do not post their pricing online. This is the truth, and the truth sucks. I remember a story of this guy who went inside a lingerie store to get something for his girlfriend at the Wynn in Las Vegas. He was looking around and was wondering why the items didn't have prices, so he asked the clerk. She replied that if he's not buying, he really doesn't need to ask for the price. The guy was miffed and left the store.

People love low prices. But that doesn't mean they will not buy expensive stuff. The difference is in knowing. Advice from Get Online Texas: in your website, you have to post your pricing for your products or services. If you don't, your customers will not have any clue and will probably jump on to shop somewhere else. Maybe even to your competition! The customer reviews don't mean anything, the beauty of your website hardly makes any difference. If your customer is looking for information, you have to give it. They may be shopping during the wee hours of the morning and they can't call you personally. Or maybe they would rather browse your website than call you. In my case, this is true. I was shopping for a beauty salon in San Antonio today and here's how it went.

It has to be anywhere near the Riverwalk, the downtown or Fort Sam Houston, where the wedding will be held. Several top websites showed up on Google: Versi, Altamoda, Treat Hair Studio, Avant Salon, and JD and Victor's Hair Studio, among others.

Versi

Versi obviously is a town favorite. It seems like everybody who went here were delighted and satisfied with their staff's job. However, when I checked their website, they do not have any pricing on their services. Unfortunately it looks like they're in the middle of revamping their website or something, so there's not much to learn about their services. Maybe check back next time.

Altamoda

Altamoda in San Antonio appears as a franchise, since the website says the main location is in Orlando, Florida. If this is the case, do they have the same hours, rates, and packages everywhere else? The salon has to make this clear to customers. It's a nice, professional website, but they only post pricing on their Specials section.

Treat Hair Studio

Of all the other salons I've checked downtown or near Fort Sam Houston, Treat Hair Studio is the only one that's comprehensive, helpful, and graphically pleasing. I say this because when I checked their website (I'm still not thinking about calling them for appointment until tomorrow), they pretty much have everything laid out. I know the prices of the services because they have posted it. Their website is very informative. I only wish they do pedicure and manicure as well!

Avant Salon

Avant Salon covers everything. Included in their pricelist are haircut, nails, facials, and massage, among other things. Don't try to book online though, since their posted locations are in Austin. The best method is to call for appointment and check the Quarry Village location. Avant Salon in San Antonio seems like a really nice place, but like anywhere else, beware of inattentive stylists.

JD and Victor's Hair Studio

JD and Victor are nice enough to post pricing of their services in their flowery pink website, and I love them for that. This means as a potential customer, I now have more options. To make it clear though, if you're not the type who likes to share a glass of wine while in the middle of a styling session, let their staff know. Despite their dedication to their service, which a lot of people love, make sure you request only for what you want to get.

The focus of this article was shopping for services online. At Get Online Texas, our goal is to help businesses figure out how they can gain more customers through the Internet. It is true that the web has leveled the playing field for everybody, no matter where you are in the world. Your customers can reach you, only if you would let them, via your website.
