Disgaea: Hour of Darkness was released for the Playstation 2 in 2003. The turn-based strategy game managed to become a cult hit thanks to its charming and humorous storyline in addition to incredibly deep gameplay. Disgaea: Hour of Darkness would be ported to the PSP as Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness in 2006.

However it does feature several unique elements compared to Disgaea: Hour of Darkness like the court system, stack attacks, throw & catch ability and much more. New Enhancements
Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days also has several gameplay enhancements. In fact, the PSP port also takes some features from Disgaea 3: Absence of Justice on the Playstation 3.
