Why You Should Buy Dissidia: Final Fantasy for PSP

Otter
Final Fantasy is one of the most popular series in the video games industry. However, games have no direct connections with each other until now. Dissidia: Final Fantasy is a crossover title that will bring all twelve Final Fantasy games released so far for the ultimate battle between good and evil. Here are a few reasons why you should buy the upcoming exclusive title for the PSP.

Final Fantasy Characters
The Final Fantasy franchise has produced some of the most memorable and popular characters ever. Dissidia: Final Fantasy brings them together for one dream match up after another. The hero roster includes Cecil (Final Fantasy IV), Terra (VI), Cloud (VII), Squall (VIII), Zidane (IX) and Tidus (X). On the evil side, you get to play as Kefka (Final Fantasy VI), Sephiroth (VII), Ultimecia (VIII), Kuja (IX) and Jecht (X). Dissidia: Final Fantasy features an all-star cast compsing of 22 playable characters from some of the most popular Final Fantasy games. It is truly a game for the fans.

Intersecting Story
Of course, all the different characters from unrelated Final Fantasy games must have a reason to come together. Dissidia: Final Fantasy is about the Goddess of Harmon, Cosmos, raging war against the God of Destruction, Chaos. You play as ten heroes from the Final Fantasy games. The story is unique in that you relive some of the moments found in the main games in addition to experiencing a new story at the same time. The style of storytelling is reminiscence of the kingdom Hearts series.

Flashy Battles
Dissidia: Final Fantasy isn't your typical fighting game. The over-the-top battles require some strategy.

You and your opponents begin with the Brave Points, which is required for special attack. To build up Brave Points, you need to perform basic attacks on your opponent. Furthermore, it will slowly increase with time. Be careful, however, as completely depleting your points will leave you exposed in both defense and offense.

Throughout the battle, your EX Gauge will also be filled. Once it is full, you can become more powerful and unlock new special attacks.

Great Value
Although it is a fighting game at heart, Dissidia: Final Fantasy also features a lengthy single-player campaign. It will take you dozens of hours to beat the game and hundreds more to unlock everything. Not to mention that you can also fight against other players wirelessly. So, even though it is a bit expensive for a PSP game at $39.99, the amount of playtime will be worth the cost.

Dissidia: Final Fantasy is shaping up to be one of the best games of the year on the PSP. Don't miss out on the exclusive title when it comes out in late August.
