Why Cam'ron is Making Career Suicide?
Battling with the Three Bosses of N.Y., We Think His Career is Done
Killa Cam is crazy. Don't kill me but thats just me being honest. If you're sitting back reading this asking your self, "well why would I write about something like this?" Well just like I said when I started this article, Cam'ron is crazy. To me this is where it started. At this point of his career, he already had Nas on his back and now is going after Jay-Z. Cam'ron put out Swagger Jacker, which showed how Jay-Z heavy sampled other artist lyrics, like Notorious B.I.G., 2pac, Slick Rick, Big Daddy Kane, Nas, and the likes of others. Then he openly dissed Jay on a song called "You Gotta Love It", which also disses Beyonce. Jay fired back, not too heavy, on a HP commercial of all things, stating ("This game is over, I wonder if he knows.") Cam being Cam, he didn't like that very much so he dissed Jigga on the remix of Young Joc's "Goin' Down" .
Cam truly thinks that he can stand up with him. So he sends Jimmy to get Jay . "Alarm" was put out when they got word of Jay-Z return to help the New York rap scene. On a interview with Funk Master Flex, Jay-Z said that Jimmy is like the 9th guy on the bench talking trash to person scoring 40 a night. and later on started a freestyle by saying "GOT SO MUCH MONEY MIGHT BUY KOCH", the label that Jim Jones is signed to. Little bit later after that, Jim and Damon Dash put out a track called "Kingdom Done". But wait, I thought Dame and Jay was friends or something like that. Hova didn't like the fact that Dame made Cam president of Roc-a-Fella Records. So after Cam left Def Jam and Jigga became president, he and dame sold the Roc back to Def Jam. After Hova came back to the game, he put out "Lost Ones" on his album "Kingdom Come". "Lost Ones" wasn't really a diss record, but more of a record stating his issues with Damon, Beyonce, and his lost nephew. Just like how Jig diss Nas over his track "Got Myself A Gun", Jay-Z returned fired with "Brooklyn High" using the instrumental to Jim Jones "We Fly High (Ballin)". On the same day that "Kingdom Come" dropped, Cam'ron came back into the war by releasing "You Must Not Know", Jay-Z already has a answer to this track with his release of "Dig A Hole". Jay-Z is the master of one liners, you know (If you really want war where your crew at), (I'm about dollars, what the fuck is 50 Cent), (You little fuck, I got money bags bigger than you), (I sold what your whole sold in one week), (I sampled your voice you was using it wrong). Well with this one, he dropped the one liner that could had killed Cam career, ( the only time you went plat, my chain was around you neck, thats a natural fact).
Everything was quiet for now. Jay was doing his thing, Nas signed to Def Jam released "Hip Hop is Dead". Cam'ron must been bored seeing how has lost twice to Nas and Jay-z. So he wants to start another beef. Now going back to what I stated at the opening of this article. Killa Cam is Crazy and here the reason why. An Angie Martinez interview, 50 Cent and Styles P where chatting, and it seemed like they where ending there beef. 50 said some things on why Styles shouldn't sign to Koch, stating that Koch is a Graveyard, which is a statement that I believe is true. I do believe when an artist can't make it to a major or an up and comer can't get a deal, they go to Koch to give there career a boost. Now, remind you that this is a conversation between 50 who said his relationship with Dipset is good and Styles who had beef with 50 Cent because of the "NY, NY" track with Ja Rule and Jadakiss. Then who should call in but CAM'RON. He just goes off at 50 Cent about album sales between Lloyd Banks and Jim Jones, Mobb Deep numbers, why did he send Prodigy over there if Koch is a graveyard, and 50 is speechless.
Couple of days later, 50 being 50, releases "Funeral Music" Dissing Cam'ron, saying (when the last Cam record you like, Jimmy is now the boss of Dipset.). He also releases a video for the track, that shows a clip of Cam, from a movie, snitching on people in D.C., after that shows a picture of Cam holding a gun to his head, with the words 50 Cent on the handle. Cam comes back wit the track "Curtis" and also releases a video. Now Cam'ron has Nas, Jay-Z, and 50 Cent on his back. The three most influential artist to come out of New York. This reminds me of when 2Pac was still alive and he was going after Biggie and NY. 2Pac was a different person than Cam'ron. 2Pac had the entire city on lock down. Cam'ron can't even handle one of these rappers. So, what's the next move after Cam loses this one. Will he retire? Will his diss someone else? He career is over, I'm sorry, you can hate me forever, but even I know when I've lost. Let me know what you think on the message board.
