Why Caribbean Cruising is Better - Make Your Vacation a Blast

Wendy Rahilly
A lot of decision-making is involved with planning a vacation. You must decide where you're going to go, how you're going to get there, and whether or not your budget can handle the expenses. Well, if you're having trouble addressing these issues, you may want to consider getting an all-in-one vacation... going Caribbean cruising.

With a Caribbean cruise you can pay as little as $200 per person, assuming you don't mind using the most basic staterooms, and/or traveling for 2 days. If you want a longer vacation or a better stateroom, you will have to pay substantially more.

But if your funds are limited, don't think you'll need to pay $10,000 to enjoy your cruise. Even at $200, you'll get the same amenities as someone paying more. These amenities include unlimited food, a plethora of onboard activities, shopping, gambling and bars. The sections below will describe these amenities in greater detail.

1. Unlimited Food

While Caribbean cruising, you can eat 24 hours a day. If you don't feel like going to the dining halls, you can order room service, (which is usually free-of-charge). There's also the option of going to a late-night buffet or an after-hours pizzeria.

2. Onboard Activities

Entertainment is already provided for when you go on a Caribbean cruise. Everyday there is usually a show in the theater area, (with the last day often concluding with a talent show, which is open to all travelers). When there isn't a show, there's bingo, dance lessons or crafting activities. You can also take a dip in the ship's pool when the weather is nice. Some pools even have a slide, making swimming more fun. Other onboard activities include arcade games, book-reading, (from the ship's library) and movies.

3. Shopping

Onboard, there are usually small shops where you can buy souvenirs or clothing. When the ship stops at different ports, you can expand your shopping by visiting the local markets.

4. Gambling

Forget Vegas, while you are Caribbean cruising, you are offered a casino right on board. You can play all sorts of gambling games ranging from slots to roulette.

5. Bars

If you like to drink, most cruise ships offer access to bars. Some bars are designed for after-hours entertainment, while others will provide drinks at any time.

In conclusion, there are many reasons why you should consider taking a cruise. True, it may seem as if you're paying a lot more upfront, but when you consider what you're getting you're actually saving money. Caribbean cruising is not only a the perfect vacation getaway, but it can be very affordable too.
