Why the CDC is Pushing the H1N1 Swine Flu Vaccine

Ben Speaker
If you're confused by all the swine flu/H1N1 hype from the CDC and the media, you're not alone. There are some things that have continually puzzled me about the whole pig sickness scare.

First of all, the CDC keeps saying that "most flu" in the U.S. is swine flu. But how on earth do they know that? They quit testing for H1N1 months ago, and it's indistinguishable from seasonal flu. So how do they know?

Second, the CDC tells people who have had the swine flu to get vaccinated against it anyway. Uh, why?? If you really got the swine flu, then you don't need a vaccine. Given the limited supply of vaccine, it seems like the CDC would be encouraging people not to get vaccinated if they've already contracted H1N1. But they tell them just the opposite. Obviously the CDC is not convinced that all the so-called "cases" of H1N1 were swine flu at all -- or any flu.

Third, the CDC keeps saying that the flu vaccine is so "safe" and that we shouldn't be concerned about the massive amount of mercury in each shot. Excuse me, Dr. Shuchat, but if all this mercury is so "safe" then why did the government very recently prohibit children and pregnant women from getting any vaccination with the amount of mercury contained in the H1N1 vaccine? Do the math. The limit was 0.1 micrograms of mercury per kilogram of body weight per day. The flu vaccine contains 25 micrograms, which means it's safe only if you weigh 250 kilograms or 551+ pounds.

Fourth, the CDC keeps saying that there is no connection between mercury and autism. Okay, fine. Are they also going to tell us there's no link between mercury exposure and mental retardation, or hearing loss, or heart problems, or memory loss? Are you going to tell us mercury no longer causes infant death? Why the sudden obsession with autism and autism alone?

These are legitimate questions that you've probably asked yourself. But nobody in the media seems to be asking. So I'll try to answer these questions very succinctly.

You can't track a virus without testing for it.

The CDC doesn't really know that most flu-like symptoms are from H1N1. They don't even know if they're from influenza at all. If you ever saw that episode of House where Drs. House and Cuddy were on a plane and everybody began developing the same symptoms of bacterial meningitis, without any explanation. None of them were really sick, but they convinced themselves a serious, contagious illness was going around and was going to do them all in. It was all in their heads. This really does happen, and I believe it is largely happening now with flu-like symptoms. Most people who have flu-like symptoms probably don't have flu at all.

The CDC does not know how much H1N1 is really out there. All they know is that they have already gone into panic mode and bought millions of doses of vaccine, and they don't want to look bad. The CDC will try to save face at any cost, including trying to get you to ignore the risks associated with mercury in the flu vaccine.

Is the CDC running a massive clinical trial on the unwitting?

The push to get everyone vaccinated, including those who normally would not be allowed to get the vaccine -- children and pregnant women -- indicates a plan to make them unwitting guinea pigs and test cases. Sound crazy? Remember the CDC saying they are going to take great pains to track side-effects of the vaccine? You can't test if you don't observe, and observe closely.

There is no way you will get parents to subject their children to a new, unproven vaccine unless you scare them into it. That is exactly what the CDC is doing. This is nothing new. The CDC often claims that seasonal flu kills tens of thousands of people every year. This is bogus.

Swine flu is tapering off

In the South where I live, the pig flu peaked in the middle of August and has been tapering off ever since. Other parts of the country seem to be hitting the peak right about now. Instead of the CDC's dire predictions that the flu will get worse during the Fall and Winter, it is much more likely that it will all but disappear. The CDC, of course, will claim that the vaccine saved the day. This, too, will be bogus.
