Why Are Celebrities Logging Off Twitter?

What has grown to a social play by play web site might be fast approaching a past tense for many celebrities.
The social quick response right now website "Twitter" which took the Internet by storm seems to be losing a little momentum. Young Country/Pop star Miley Cyrus sent a farewell in her latest You Tube rap viral following Rapper Chris Brown who after logging off Twitter received several angry post. Even the funny man of That.s 70's Show and Punked Ashston Kutcher was threatening to leave the social site after the news of Brown and Cyrus logging off.

So what could lead to the abrupt logging off of some celebrities on Twitter? It seems that the one and only charismatic and sometimes out of control Courtney Love may have had something to do with the trend after she used Twitter as a source to slander the Austin, Texas based designer Simorangkir. According to a libel claim filed by Simorangkir in Los Angeles Superior Court March 26th of this year.

This may be placing many celebrities on a legal watch list and rather to be monitored for any over expressed views or risking legal actions for speaking out or against anything they would rather pull themselves from the social site. For many fans who monitor the play by play of some of their favorite music, movie and television stars Twitter seems to many fans as well as celebrities a quick and easy way to interact on everything from everyday life to Red Carpet apperances to Awards shows.

In a 2008 to 2009 survey conducted it is estimated that approximately 60% of those who join Twitter actually disconnect after the first month. Is this a trend that has played it's course and could this trickle over to social sites like My Space and Facebook? If so this could be a Hugh blow to any or all social and major blogging sites as they could become the new battle grounds for the modern attorney.
