So why should you get a Dual-Sport motorcycle instead of a sport, touring, etc? A dual-sport will open you up to a whole new world of adventure. After reading this article you will probably want to get one to enjoy a whole new world.
With a dual-sport motorcycle you can go pretty much anywhere. Ever wanted to explore some land that is not open to cars? When who's going to stop you on your dual-sport? Go ahead and explore that area! You can also now explore areas only open to off road vehicles. Just think of those crazy roads that you would never think of taking your car on. Now with your new dual-sport, no road is too crazy for you. You can also drive through people's yards that you don't like as well. I'm not saying you should do this, but it's always an option when you have a dual-sport. Now you can also go join your friends who have dirt bikes on their adventures. Sure you might not be able to go quite as crazy, but you will still have a lot of fun. The best part will be when you are done and you just get to drive away on your motorcycle while they put their dirt bikes into their trucks. Then you will know you make the right choice, as you're friends will all be green with envy.
If you're on a road trip and you see someone cool off the beaten path and you're in a car, you can't go see it. But wait; now you're driving your new dual-sport so no space is off limits to you now. You turn off the road and are cruising over the highly terrain. Now you can go where ever you want, and really explore areas that most people never see.
You also are getting some amazing gas mileage while you are doing all of this exploring. It is much cheaper than exploring areas in car, which can use 2 to 3 times as much gas to cover the same area.
Dual-sport motorcycles are not that expensive. You can get a nice 650 cc Kawasaki for $6,000 brand new. With the gas you will save this is a pretty good investment, provided you use it enough to make it so.
Best of all you now have something to show off to your friends. Who isn't going to be impressed with a motorcycle that can go 75 mph on the highway and then go off-road with no problem? It will definitely get the girl's eyes when you are cruising through town on the way to your next adventure.
