Why I Choose to Zoom Around in a Ford Focus

Sharie
When looking around for a car, I took into consideration, many different things. I thought about gas mileage, style, ability to get my family around and affordability. It was very hard to choose which type of vehicle I wanted to purchase because this would be my very first car. I just moved in with my boyfriend, so that freed up just enough money for me to make a car payment.

So this is how I determined that a Ford Focus was right for me:

I had been driving my mom's car around for a long time and I knew that it was a gas guzzler. I wanted something small, that got excellent gas mileage and was gentler on the environment. The Ford Focus gets 27 miles per gallon in the city and up to 37 on the Highway. This sounded good to me!

The next thing that I looked at was affordability. The base price of the Focus started out below $15,000 and I knew that I would be adding on extras such as a moon-roof, alloy rims, cruise control, alarm ect. Also, I just purchased my car at the end of August which gave me the advantage of zero percent financing, the ability to talk down the dealer, and even a college graduate discount.

Style was very high up on my list when purchasing a car. The Focus is a very cute, girlie car, and with a spoiler and moon-roof added, it was even cuter. These were two things that I always wanted on my first new car. The car I chose is a dark silver color which is also very stylish.

So after style came the thought, "Can I get my boyfriend and his son around in this?". I chose a four door version of the Focus, that is very safe will get us three everywhere we need to go. The trunk of the Focus is large enough to get a huge load of groceries in. You can even fold the back seats down to put longer items in the trunk.

The Focus came with a 36,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty which I extended to the 100,000 mile warranty for an extra charge. I figured since I will be driving 50+ miles to and from work every day, that 36,000 miles will be up very quickly. It also has a 60,000 mile power-train warranty.

Since I purchased my new car, other great features I have been enjoying are the CD holder built in on the drivers side, 4 cup holders in the front seat area, 1 cup holder in the back. An easy to reach trunk release on the drivers side (instead of in the glove box), and very comfortable seats that can be adjusted every-which-way.

All in all, I really love my new Ford Focus. It has everything that I could dream of, and is still affordable enough for me to enjoy every day.
