Why is Chris Wallace of Fox News Such a Jerk?

Read About Chris Wallace and How He is Bringing Bad Name to Journalism

Chris Wallace the host of Fox News Sunday became news himself after that interview with former President Clinton. Frankly, I didn't feel bad for
Clinton
. But that interview made me think about the state of journalism on Fox (Hoax) News.

If Wallace is a journalist (when did that happen..?) and it is his job to push you to the corner and get some interesting or controversial thing out of you. But the timing of the interview, selection of questions and the way he reacted to the drama that followed, made Chris Wallace look like a jerk.

I mean this talk about terrorism has been going on for more than five years now. Why did he have to wait until a month before the elections to accuse
Clinton
of doing nothing to stop terrorism? The way Fox News has crowned itself the lead PR agency for the Conservatives and twists the news to fit their agenda is bringing bad name to journalism itself.

I am not a Chris Wallace fan but I support the license a journalist has. But Wallace did not act as a journalist; he acted like a hired man for Republican publicity. I believe it is also the fault of Fox News directors for the way the interview went. Clearly they were trying to get something going for the Republicans right before the election. President Bush has used the "war against terrorism" slogan so many times that his speech writers are out of ideas on how to spin it the new way. Fox News stepped in to help with this
Clinton
interview.

After the interview ended and the drama began, with Wallace lamenting that he had been unfairly targeted and his journalistic license not respected. Well first of all he was not being unfairly targeted. Wallace is no first timer; he has been in the business for decades. He selected the questions, he did his research. He knew very well the kind of reaction he would get from
Clinton
for those questions and still he went ahead and asked them anyway. So why exactly is he complaining? And on his journalistic license, well Mr. Chris Wallace, you USED to be a journalist. But you are a hired man for party and policy publicity now. You no longer have the "journalistic license".

I know I sound like a maniac Chris Wallace hater. Forgive me for I cannot take his "know all" attitude any longer. I tried to forget the
Clinton
episode but after reading his interview in New York Times with Deborah Solomon, I lost it. Just read some excerpts and you will understand why,

"Q: As the host of "Fox News Sunday," you recently became a news item yourself by seeming to cause President Clinton to have on on-air meltdown. Do you think it was fair for you to mention that his administration had failed to capture Osama bin Laden?

I think it was a straight news question, and I think it just touched a very raw nerve. The business I am in is asking probing questions and trying to get interesting answers. I think I succeeded admirably in my job.

Q: You became host of the show only three years ago, replacing Tony Snow, who later became the White House press secretary. Why did he leave television?

Because he was interested in becoming a radio star.

That doesn't sound very convincing.

I am sorry you're not persuaded.

Now tell me what you think about this guy. Honestly and frankly. I know what he is; he is a jerk and a very rude person.

Chris Wallace has a bright future ahead of him in Fox News, because no one else will hire him. I wonder when is going to be a radio star like Tony Snow.

You have got to be kidding me? How long has MSNBC been producing their rhetoric in the name of liberalism for years now. Conveniently mocking conservatives without the accusing of being "bad journalism." BOO. I say, BOO.

Oh, sorry... I thought this was about Chris Matthews... It's all so confusing. Unless a reporter tells me he has a "thrill running down his leg," I have no clue who he's for. I'm confused about Olbermann, Andrea Mitchell, Rachel Maddow, Whoopi Goldberg and a bunch of others on those "legitimate" stations.

You gotta be kidding me. Chris is as hard on Republicans as Democrats. The other 99% of the main stream media does this all day long to the Republicans and treats Democrats like gods. Just look at this sad election.

What rock have you been living under?
