Why Churches Are Packed on Easter and Not on Regular Sundays

Christina Armani
Churches are packed on Easter since it's a significant and important day in Christian history. People attend church on Easter because they believe attending on Easter counts more than attending on regular Sundays. People go to church on Easter Sunday knowing that it looks good to go to church on Easter, and they want to look like good Christians. There are also people who go because they love to dress up, and they can wear their Easter outfits to church and show them off to others.

Lots of people go to church on Easter because they would feel guilty if they didn't go. A lot of people go to church on Easter because they feel that giving God and Christ a little bit of recognition is enough. However, this is untrue and God needs to be recognized and valued every single day. Surely there are people who believe that they'll go to hell if they don't go to church on Easter, but this isn't true either. It takes a lot more to get into hell than not going to church on Easter, and there are other ways to honor God on Easter than going to church. In order to avoid going to hell, just show God love in some way all the time and follow his commandments.

For many Christians, it's a tradition to go to church on Easter and also Christmas. A lot of Christians feel obligated to go to church on Easter Sunday, but not on regular Sundays. Many Christians believe that God will care more if you go to church on Easter Sunday as opposed to a regular Sunday. However, going to church on Easter Sunday isn't going to appease God and it isn't enough. God wants us to go to church, but he wants us to go with the right heart. There are people who think that doing things like going to church on Easter is enough to get you into Heaven, but this is just wishful thinking.

Sadly, most people mainly go for impression so they can say that they did something good as a Christian. On the bright side, lots of people go to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus and hear a great sermon. People go to church on Easter to show respect and reverence to God. However, God deserves to be respected and revered every day, not just on the special ones.
